how do you like the irl midpipe. so many options out there and it looks like they are one of the cheaper alternatives.

I think they are a great option,Well built, Sound is to my liking even more if you utilze the valve controller and the customer service was great.

any issues with fitment? its appears to be the same item you can purchase on Aliexpress. not a whole lot cheaper on Ali but the pics online look identical. i have no issues with overseas parts if they fit properly

No issues with fitment as there are dimples on stock piping to indicate cut location. I would suggest the extender support plate to give more clearance of the Midpipe.

I haven’t formed a strong opinion yet, but initially think it looks good.

I wonder what it would look like with the body color between the grills and on the lower section (IND style).

Either way, creative approach!

My AW contribution. Picked up the car early August and did not order it. wasn’t too picky on spec but wanted carbon roof/interior. All i really care
about

got to modding pretty fast

Current Mods
BC Forged MLE81 20x10 20x11
Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 285/30/20 305/30/20
AST HAS sleeve springs. Close to lowest setting
IND painted reflectors
20%EXpel Prime XR plus- think it’s too dark and probably go to 35%
ALI Express Oil Cooler skid plate
ALI Express yellow DRL- works but throwing an error on dash
ALI Express Fender lender grills. Modified your fender liner to allow more tire clearance
Gloss black mirror caps
TLG mud flaps- the fronts sit very low and will need to cut and modify the

Mods sitting in the garage till after my 1200 mile service
Race Chip Piggy back tune
Valvetronic single midpipe
IND painted center bumper trim- waiting on delivery

future mods
front mount intake- either project gamma or rk tunes. ran gamma on my m8 and they were amazing. Too bad their prices increased so much in the last couple years

possible full kit. don’t really want to deal with the hassle and enjoying not having to worry about driveways. Hope the IND bumper completes the look

No. Stock suspension. It did settle a bit after a couple thousand miles. I definitely in the minority when it comes to lowering. I'm not a big fan of how far some lower their cars, but at the same time dropping this an inch would be fine. Slidding it past the wife might be the issue as she has said no more mods! lol

Scotty,

I think you have convinced me to go Alpine White. My first BMW was an Alpine White 335 6 speed, so it will be a nice return to the beginning of my BMW experience.

Strongly considered Vegas Red but felt it just looked so much less vibrant in anything but bright overhead light. Hope i am making the right choice...ha ha

I mean with a name like SpaceGhost you never had a choice. It has to be Alpine White. That being said there are some people around these forums who really don't like Alpine White. Those people are objectively wrong, the M2 looks fantastic in white and it's a classic BMW color. I have had regrets for not going with this choice so if you're feeling it, do it!

Ha ha....I was originally Alpine Blur...then switched from the 335 in Alpine to a Space Gray 135 and changed to SpaceGhost...
Have since had a Silverstone M4, Mineral Gray 230i (son's car), Tanzanite Blue M340i, Brooklyn Gray M240i, Oxide Gray 740...

Wish we had more/better color choices but I think I will be joining the empire as a Stormtrooper..just call me TK-421

I previously had two white cars out of 30+ cars in my lifetime. I have to say I love the AW but it really needs to black accents like the CF roof, spoiler, etc. I get a lot of compliments on the car.

I get it. I skipped the cf roof because I use my sunroofs alot.

I need to figure which way to go:

Plan A: wrap the roof in gloss black ppf, add a gloss black mp style spoiler, and possibly a gloss black front lip.

Plan B: swap antenna cover to CF, add CF MP style spoiler, CF mirror caps, maybe CF lip. I dont want to do a fake CF roof wrap. Just don't feel right about it.

In my head, i think either will look good but not sure how it will come together in real life. Really not sure what direction to go.
