M2 is probably a MSRP deal. OP got his M4 for 10-12% off MSRP so essentially he paid M2 prices for an individual M4. He already bought the M4, but even if he didn’t there’s no money savings to be had.

I'd say go for it.
If you love it, you made the right choice. If you don't love it, it's only a year until the GT3 anyway. You get more experience in a variety of vehicles either way. |

Had my 2024 M2 for a few months... at first, I too thought it was a bigger car than expected.. then I dropped it off for the 1,200 miles service and was given an M4 loaner... and at once I was so glad to have the M2.. The M4 just felt 'larger' in handling.. Every time I drive it, it feels just right for me....
BTW, my dealership in Durham, NC has two M4 CSL's on the floor for over a month... someone s/b able to get a nice deal... |

An M4 Comp isn't dynoing 100 hp more than an M4 Base. The two videos I've seen of an M4Cs dyno that said 560 were brake horsepower - that is not wheel horsepower.

Even stranger if you consider the fact it's available on entry level non luxury / performance brands too. Was just one area they could cut costs (like cast wheels instead of forged) to keep the price of the G87 down.

I've always felt that M cars are fantastic as a 1 car solution, but once you start buying cars for specific purposes, you'll most likely want each car for their specific purpose. However, who am I to say what your preferences are - you may be one of those ppl that needs to drive something ridiculously fast as a daily! |

Thanks for all the input everyone! At this point i decided to wait till the M2 comes in and then go take a look. If i decide that the m2 is more my jam and if the dealership gives me good trade in value for the M4 then i'll probably make the switch. If not then i'll stick with the M4.

don’t buy what you don’t want. Will never understand why peeps do this and then just waste their own time daydreaming about something else!
Get what you want the first time around!

GT3 for weekend canyon runs, solo trips and track days, M2 for daily and trips with wife (she also drives it to work sometimes since the kids kept crashing her Benz 😂 And you also need a decent SUV. I like the LR4 for snowboarding, off-roading and family trips. And you also need a classic car to get that old school driving feel. And this is why cars become a life long obsession 😂. |

The Corvette is actually orange. Wish orange was available on the G87.
