Bimmertech Alpha1

Hi,
I've installed the Bimmertech Alpha 1 amp (..audiotech fishcer Match 8dsp) and the Bimmertech speakers/subs. Replacing the 'premium' OEM system.
Night and day difference.
Key is to 'tune' the amp using the audiotech fishcer DSP PC-TOOL PC software. You connect the amp via USB to computer and also connect a mic (ex. Mini-DSP...). Many options in the program but key is running 'real time analyzer'. I did the 1st tune myself with decent results but I then had a remote session with Bimmertech Support who provided the right calibration file for the mike and pink noise files. They spent over 1.5 hrs tuning the system and even compensating for my left ear hearing loss.

I wonder what type of EQ can be done with REW and a UMIK-1 using the stock system. If you do the Bimmercode to unlock the B&O profiles, does that give you more control over the type of EQ?

Has anyone tried this? The stock speakers sound pretty good to me with just a little bass boost. I'd like to get a little closer to the Harman curve, though.

That's pretty cool that they EQ it remotely. All of these speaker upgrades are kind of iffy without any frequency response graphs accompanying them.

FYI Crutchfield has the MATCH UP 8DSP on sale ($200 off), however, it's on backorder until next month. I decided to order it anyway plus the harness and now I'm now looking for speakers. I'd prefer some brand-named speakers however, Crutchfield and others don't have info on the 2024 G42 as of yet... Does anyone know if the specs for the speakers are the same for prior model years?

My 2C as an electrical and software engineer that dabbles in audio. I would first try to get set up with the DSP and keep the stock drivers. The stock drivers are actually not that bad and they are engineered for those "enclosures". Without a measurement mic and knowledge it's probably easy to do worse than stock.

I am using the direct fit Morel underseat subs. They are pretty damned good! They play WAY deeper & louder than the HKs using the HK system. It's enough to make you think you don't need to upgrade anything else, but of course, we know better.

I did upgrade the entire audio system using AudioControl's D6.1200 & CDT Audio Gold (ES) speakers in the doors & rear deck. The D6.1200 took the Morel subs to a completely different level. This is musical bass you can feel. You def will need to disable or always turn off ASD!!

I am eventually gonna do a post about the audio upgrade I did - I need to take some pics. Truly amazing, high fidelity sound! Highly recommend the Morel subs!

Amps are going up $100 this Friday. I can order Bimmertech upgrades at discount, hit me up asap to get in before the price increase.

I saw this as well. Actually, all the major brands are the same, no one has fitment on their website for the current gen M240/M2.
I emailed Orella about this but maybe Tuxon_Speed can let us know how he got his install done. Not sure if he is active anymore as the M2 was wrecked and he has a Mustang Dark Horse now.

He was pretty responsive on IG but I have disabled mine.

Orella came out and installed the kit in my shop because we are a reseller for them.

The kit isn’t cheap but if you’re an audio nut like myself, it’s insanely good.
