Would have liked to have seen a darker grey colour as a standard option such as Dravit or Mineral Grey. Think it would suit the G42 chassis particularly well with the shadowline pack.

Melbourne is great in certain light. But doesn't pop always as much as a Rosso corsa

This thread needs to die until an actual Melbourne Red G42 is posted.

Huh that looks more like aventurine or ruby red. Not really Melbourne red appearing.

If anyone knows where the hi-res versions of these can be found please post a link. They are clearly BMW Press Photos.

Looks like BMW USA is hosting them here:

https://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/2-se...e/gallery.html

The caption states it to be Melbourne Red.

Unfortunately, they are not full resolution (not PC wallpaper quality)

This is most probably Aventurin Red.

Would it be typical of BMW Press to get this wrong?

Maybe it's the (over) image processing. That looks more like real life Aventurine II paint, which as we know would make no sense as it would need to be Individual program already.

IMHO that's nothing like natural MR in real life but I believe it would have been an MR car.

Guess we await for dealer delivery pics now.

I agree, could be over processing. Not sure if related but the official pics of the M performance parts car is a much deeper gray than the Brooklyn color.

Somehow I prefer the simpler body kit of the 230i over the 240i how odd.

Those pics look a little overexposed but I guess it's all we've got!

Here are some proper exposure photos on an E90 for reference.
