Via my recent Gen iPad this photo reads 100% black, not a hint of silver on the exhaust finishers. It is interesting that you see a hint of silver.

I agree, the outer exhaust tip covering in this picture from the Performance Center is an all black chrome like finish. The inner portion of the exhaust tip appears to be raw SS material. I can only see two set screws that fix the covering in place. Thus, allowing removal I presume for cleaning or replacement.

I totally forgot that I have photos of the first G42 M240 that was received without the Shadowline package. Close-up of the headlights attached.

BTW, Most of the G42s that are priority ones seem to be ordered with Shadowline.

Yes as the G42 and G87 will share the same headlights and taillights.

So, that gold strip will also be in the non-shadowline headlight? I haven't been able to see an up close, detailed shot of this headlight on an M2 yet. At least not enough to see that gold strip

More than likely it will be the same as I cannot foresee BMW having their headlight supplier make manufacture a headlight specific to the the G87, especially since the shadowline headlight is not any different than the one that is installed on a G42.

Phew. Thankfully I erred on the side of caution and optioned the shadowline package (plus the lighting package, of course). Gold strip alone makes that headlight not worth it

Yes it will. We have seen photos of it posted multiple times within the G87 sub-forum.

I'm not so sure the headlights are the exact same between the g42 and g87, although the internal components may be. Given this, there's a chance they remove the gold piece for the non shadowline for the g87 since it's not exactly the same light. See the pictures attached where it looks like the shape of the inner edge of the lights are different. Im guessing this change was made so the headlight vent could sit flush with the light and look like a single unit. Given this, I'm expecting there to be separate part numbers for these lights.

That's what I thought too.. crossing fingers it does not have the gold strip.. but if it has then definitely will go with shadowline

If the DRLs on the non-shadowline resembled the shadowline DRLSs, this would be a no brainer. $950 for a set of premium head lights, and some other goodies, is a great value proposition worth budgeting for, in my opinion.

The DRLs change on the Lighting Package, not via the Shadowline Package. FYI, The Shadowline Package requires the Lighting Package.

I see, thanks for the clarification. Also, that's why I mentioned $950, to account for both packages that mandate each other.
