As well as the rock he had some nice trick hanger suspension for that
I was talking with a chap around the corner who races a small stock car and some of the things he does to the engine and hangers keeping in line with the regulations that others are still in the dark about makes him win races.

Thus we see something that we don’t understand (I saw lights doing things that normally couldn’t be done), and then without any facts or evidence we form a firm conclusion (it must be aliens). Nature abhors a vacuum. Been going on since humans first walked the Earth. Anything that is beyond initial comprehension is ascribed to extraterrestrial origins or supernatural beings.

That's not even remotely accurate.

It's one thing to say that we, as lay people, don't understand a technology, and quite another to say we know where it comes from. The great inventors (like Tesla) always had fantastic tech in their heads that others didn't understand, so it's likely that same thing is happening today. I think the only difference is that instead of being ostracized, the military is scooping these people up for their projects.

I saw one waaaaaaay too close in the late 1980's, as in standing under a triangle-shaped one on the side of the road hovering about 500 feet overhead. No noise, but it did blow the Radio Shack stereo's amplifier chip out in my car.
