i'm not keen on aliexpress unless i am ok with a throw away piece, or i have a direct referral to a seller. the quality varies so much with their vendors, i wanted a shop that had a good rep on bimmerpost. thus AutoID/TRE.

Fwiw - I picked up my TRE-01 spoiler from the bodyshop (that does a lot of high-end vehicles), and they said the carbon fiber on the spoiler was one of the best aftermarket pieces they had seen. The painter was very upset I was having it painted because it was such a nice piece

Agree. My builder said the same thing. Ironically, after seeing and installing mine, he started using them on his other customer's cars.

I was going to ask about that when you mentioned it was going to the painter. Did you paint the whole thing or leave just the leading edge CF?

I am guessing we could make an awesome G87 if we pooled all the parts we have sitting in boxes.

I love my TRE parts from AUTOID. I had mine installed at Milltek in Alcoa, TN! So far quality has been fantastic and they really give it a nicer stance!!Name: IMG_7666.jpg

Update:

Joe AUTOID and Ben at AutoID looked into the matter, and once they saw the damage sustained during delivery, immediately arranged for a replacement piece. I did try to ask a local Detailer if we could salvage the original piece, but there were cracks and just too much damage.

The replacement piece was nicely wrapped up and box arrived in much better condition (original parcel was taken on a detour and smash up round Europe, thanks to the courier), and the finish is perfect.

Very grateful to Joe and Ben for stepping in to take a closer look at the situation, and the swift remediation.

Thanks again to the guys here who gave feedback on their stellar experience with TRE parts quality, so that i rechecked with the team.
