Hello,

These are still on order with BMW at the moment, I do not have any in-stock that are available.

All are for orders.

Has anyone done the replacement on the hood yet? That 50 Years roundel has some pretty serious barbs and I was wondering if the originals come off relatively clean or if the barbs end up breaking.

Hello,

Yes I have done these on my personal vehicles.

Best to tape off around the roundel to prevent chipping your paint and using a heat gun to loosen up the adhesive tape underneath.

Then pry around evenly until the roundel pops off or can use dental string around to loose the adhesive tape.

Hmmm, OK.
Those barbed posts did not 'get in the way' or need to be broken off when removing the original hood badge? Or does the original not have the same barbed posts?

Hood is the left-side roundel in this photo...

Hello,

They do not when removing the tape.

The tape is only on the edge of the roundel and once this is separated from the vehicle, the tabs will pop out when lifting.

Lift straight up when pulling.

I did both.

Bards Came out pretty clean. With the heat 99% of the tape also came with it.

I put blue tape under the edges on the top and bottom. Heated it up and worked a big soft squeegee for vinyl behind it and it came right up
