I think the collective internet should have realized by now that it is exceptionally hard to properly photograph red. Without a white balance card and control you basically cant do it.

So whenever you see a photo of a red car, just remember that its like a 95% chance it didnt even look like it does in the picture to the person taking the picture, and it certainly doesnt look the same on your PC/phone display as it did when they took the picture.

Results of photos will vary wildly.

I have vision problems? Lmao. Even the silver cars in the back look orange in that photo reflecting the sun. Literally the post above you has a regular car in regular conditions.

I really like the richness of Vegas Red. BMW does cover a nice spectrum of colors from the adult VR to crazy SPY.

That's a great question that I don't currently have the answer to. It was on the car when I bought it. I'm probably going to replace it as it's not dark enough & doesn't block enough UVs (my face gets hot when the sun is shining in on a long drive).

I really don't care if you like the color or not, but to look at this and declare "it looks plum", means you're colorblind. And that's okay. Just stating a fact.

Why are you being so defensive? That picture in the driveway literally looks like the color of a plum. Not like the cartoon/purple color, like a real world plum.

And he's also correct that the other picture you posted has a ton of orange light from the sunset reflecting in the metallic.

If I shine a red light on a silver car do i get to call the car silver-red color?

Defensive? Hardly. I just disagree, that's all. At the end of the day, we're arguing minutia, so whatever.

It's pretty defensive to say that something that is objectively correct, and visible to all, is incorrect and that the other person "must be colorblind"

To be clear, I think vegas red looks fanntastic, but in overcast light it most certainly has a plum tone to it.

Haha, cmon now. We are not arguing, we aren’t discussing minutia either. We are describing color. You have a nice car you should be proud of. It just happens to be plum.
