It's not exact but extremely close and using it on the sensores because theres a tiny black line around the edge its totally indistinguishable the vinyl has no effect on the sensors, works perfectly

For anyone wanting to do this but arent sure, i reckon go for it, i cant imagine mine without it colour coded anymore, I'm positive they did this just to make the M2 more premium looking, the back looks sooo much nicer and coherent now.
Like I said i'm speaking to the people on the fence, i understand there are plenty (most) who prefer the black gloss.

Haven’t done this sort of thing before, but tempted to now. I think you said you removed the parts prior to painting. Can the paint work not be done without disassembling?
And are the sensors not paintable? |

a proper job mean removing them but it your using a rattle can im not sure if that would be good enough for me, im sure the sensors are paintable but my painter chickened out in case they didnt

Had mine painted by my body shop. They painted the sensors. Never had a problem with their operation. Thanks go to Cannockwolf for the idea.
