Well Jaguar's coming out with an AWD F-Type, and Porsche has the C2. And with the AMG S4Matics, I'm sure this will also garner that trim. I'd never get it in 4Matic if I lived in a sunny state that doesn't get snow, but living in St. Louis, MO, AWD is a plus.

IMO...this AMG GT is a stunning design. Beautiful lines and classic old school Coupe proportions reminds me a lot of italian GT cars from the 60s. It even has some Zagato-ish cues about it! very impressed.

don't worry....BMW are faaaaar too busy working on their flourishing Active Tourer line......remember? FWD and ready to thrill!!! LOL

I agree, definitely some zagato in there. I freaking love it, especially the interior.

Gotta write this, though I know I'll get killed.

I think it that looks like my old neighbors datsun. The rare is wrong, the lights look like it has a squint, Corvette has the same type of a roof line and I can picture the men getting in and out needing a cane.

I love this car. interior and exterior sex appeal are immense. utility will be abysmal, but that almost makes the car more appealing.

Compare that to this pic. You can see how far back the engine is set.

This car is going to handle.

It was hard to tell how small the car was in the other pics. This one sums up the dimensions pretty well.

That is what is good about Mercedes sports cars. I wonder how will the BMW Z4/Toyota Supra be. Will they be mid-front engine and transaxle gearbox?

I think I love this car. That first picture of the silver one is stunning.

But it has a 4.0L biturbo V8 . . .

and the engine/exhaust notes are 100% authentic/natural.

Danzig+ Misfits= engine noise matters very little. I still have working eyes, so this mess is not parking into my garage.

Okay, I might get used to it, it has happened before, but now it looks like the old five series or Z4. Someone had an idea, and decided to wait till he/ she had horrible stomach bug going on to piece them together. Do not go to Germany, it might be contagious.

Looks a little too rounded, but it does have a interesting retro style to it. SLS still for me.

Rumored weight, GT weighs 1,540kg or 3,395lbs. Combined with engine set back and low center of gravity. AMG GT is going to be one fun car to toss around.

Oh and it has hydraulic steering.

Im impressed. Although the numbers a bit low if you look at it from the SLS sucessor point of view. MB will tell you it's not a replacement to it. But than why is the SLS discontinued, and what will replace it?

Finally something new and interesting that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! The only thing that I don't like is the headlight design. The interior is awesome! Hydraulic steering is nice. Can't wait for reviews to come out.

Way to go MB!!

Mercedes is working on another car, which will rather be an SLR replacement. But its rumors.

So I searched the fourms and it seems like no one posted yet. The new AMG gt seems like a pretty good upgrade for those that don't want to upgrade to the F8X, I believe this car will have the same engine as the upcoming W205 C63 amg.
