Lol, Same here. I'm having a hard time justifying the purchase of a $400.00 vacuum cleaner. For that kind of money it better provide me with the sucking of all suckings.

I guess i've been old for a while. The highlight of building our house was building the Wolf / Subzero kitchen. The best part was that we got a smoking deal. The my buddy owns Famous Tate here in town. (Largest appliance dealer in town) He put me in touch with the Wolf/Subzero Florida rep who happens to live in Tampa. We hit it off and she asked me to send her a list of the products we wanted for our house. The list we made had 2 Wolf conviction ovens, 6 burner wolf pro gas range top, wolf hood with inline blower, subzero build in fridge and freezer, plus a Bosch dishwasher. The total price of those items at my pals store was upwards of $30k. (about 3x our budget) Next thing i know she's got a PO made up for us, with all those products for a total of...... $14k. At first we were like, but then we were like,

My buddy who owns the appliance store said that was much lower than model home prices, which are apparently the lowest he's seen. He asked my wife and i what i did to get such a good price, insinuating that i "tickled her fancy". My wife, with a straight face says, "I wouldn't even care, these appliances would be worth it." haha So i guess she is getting old too!

The fridge doesn't do anything special, but with 23 cubic feet it's got plenty of room. I don't know how they do it, but you can put a half cut onion in the produce drawer and it doesn't permeate the rest of the fridge. Love that it runs so quite too.

So yeah, i'm old and know how you're feeling. Hell, i'm still excited about these kitchen appliances!

No experience with Miele.

But that's because i bought a Dyson about 9 years ago. The next week, i bought one for my office. I retired the one from my house to send out with my carpet installers to vacuum after installation. I replaced my home vacuum with a new Dyson.

Never an issue, great suction, and easy to maintain.

Miele is crap - the apartment I am living in right now came with an all built-in Miele kitchen that supposed cost a lot - but guess what, the fridge broke and we have been without a microwave for the past 3years - lol I had a $20 microwave in my dorm room..

Don't know about other Miele appliances but they make a great vacuum! Had one for years...

Wolf/Sub is one of my customers and when I did my remodel, I just kindly asked a few of the higher ups what kind of pricing is available. Kind of the same deal as you with a few more goodies. Can't beat having a few connections when it comes to high end appliances!

Have had experiences with both. First Dyson broke (the handle did) and the second one has been bullet proof (DC33). The Miele pull-behind has been great also. But I prefer the Dyson.

Nice fridge, I thought about getting the high tech fridges but I just got a side by side kenmore that looks like a wannabe subzero fridge.

We've had a dyson for almost 10 years. It's had some tune ups, new belts, some gear, cleanings. Runs great, no moldy smell like you get with other vacs and 2011crazee and still sucks like the day it was new.

I purchased this Vacuum nearly 2 years ago and honestly... I wish I had found out about it MUCH sooner! It is simply the BEST! The reviews speak for themselves: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Keep in mind, I have severe allergies so having HEPA filtration is a must. Plus it comes with a separate carry unit for stairs, blinds, sofas etc.

Run do not walk to your nearest Home Depot and grab one.
How many times have you used this. I was in the market for a blower last week but a lot of people I talked to said the battery operated ones don't last long. I bought a backpack husqvarna last week but I haven't taken it out of the box yet.

The battery doesn't last all that long, I have one for quick yard cleanups, garage clean outs, and blowing off my car after washes. Keep the Husky, get a cheaper battery one for smaller jobs.

I finally had to break down and buy some pants, I couldn't find mine.

I have a backpack for a blower, I don't care how strong the battery on one of those other ones might be, having an engine strapped onto my back with the exhaust blowing out the front just can't be beat.

I took a risk on one of the Dyson's a few years back as a Christmas present, since I knew my sister-in-law was getting one as well. Then we got all wooden floors . . .

We have an Electrolux and it B L O W S. Repaired 3 times in 4 years, including replacing the touch panel/board on the front TWICE. Now the past couple days it's not dispensing water.

Remember how many refrigerators your parents had growing up? ONE from birth to college. Then they got a new one and the old one worked another 8 years in the garage. Thing was a tank. Now they are plastic and computer boards.

We have the Dyson Animal, the purple one. Thing is amazing. We have an English Bulldog who sheds like you wouldn't believe - so the vacuum gets used a lot. I wash and clean the filters once or twice a year and it really doesn't ever lose suction. I would buy another one if it died tomorrow.
