Finally got my Pantera running well.
It's cool to drive a car that rivals the performance of today's fastest cars that was made in 72. The thing is a total beast. at 3000 lbs with 650 hp and 335 cheater slicks it hangs with just about anything made today. SCARY fast. Suspension is heavily modified as well so it holds it's own on the track too. That, and, as time ges by, it's value is just going up, not down like new cars. I'll soon be doing some mods that will net me an extra 60-80hp too. Next year I'll be rebuilding the engine ad detuning a bit, as it's pretty high strung as it sits right now. |

I'm gaining the extra 60-80hp by simply getting rid of the air cleaners!
I'm adding taller stacks, with large screens that have little to no restriction, and I've been told it's good for another 60-80 hp. For street running, I'm leaving the air cleaners on, because you'd be surprised by how much crap gets sucked up from under the car. it ends up all over the top the engine and transaxle. I'll be sealing off the rear decklid with foam and running either individual screens, or using the already missing side windows as scoops (with screens) when I hit the track for track days. The engine I seem to have straightened out, after dealing with a lying cheat of a seller, who sold me the car saying the engine was fresh, and never had any issues EVER, only to find the opposite was true. Not a true word was spoken out of that guy's mouth. Now though, Snow White is running well and reliable, and next year will probably see a rebuild/refresh of the engine, and upgrade of electronics. The car itself is awesome. It's a total hoot to drive! |

That is actually how the factory saw fit to send their cars out in stock form. The PO painted Snow White in all-white. Stock, Panteras had black front decklids, rear hoods, sides, and PANTERA across the lower part of the doors, so basically I'm headed back to "factory" styling-wise.

Black satin wrap is going onto the rear hood tomorrow for the GT4/5/5S look.
Sides will soon follow, along with possibly the headlight covers like in this vid. |

I've decided I want to persue getting my pilot's license and to buy an airplane.
Therefore I am putting my baby up for sale. Presently I'm advertising it at $73,000. I'm a long ways away from getting my license and buying a plane, but of course, being a race car driver and enthusiast, I'm going to want a hot rod Light Sport airplane, so I can only keep one big toy. Anyone out there interested in a very special Pantera? I can say that 650HP is very VERY fun when put in a 3000lb car with racing suspension and 335x35x17 racing slicks (street legal cheater slicks). I heard that Panteras were getting very popular in Europe. |

Here's a few more pics.
Still for sale, trying to buy a new airplane. I have yet to do a track day, but my car is running 335x35x17 rear cheater slicks, and 235x45x17 fronts,, 3000lbs, with 650 HP. I wonder how it would fare against today's newer BMW's |
