Unless it is a dedicated track car running in the Spec Miata series, don't bother. If you need a roadster, why not get (used/new depending on budget):
S2K
Boxster
Z3
Z4
Sky Redline

S2000 or Z4 hands down, Boxster is nice too but it's mid engine so I kinda put it in a slightly different class.
