Wow, Vettel killed it!
" Ferrari and Red Bull are both geared up for a challenge from the Silver Arrows in the race, but the team say they don?t expect better than fifth or sixth unless those rivals run into trouble. Extraordinary?" Ferrari 1 2, please.

The race will be very interesting indeed.
I wonder if its just the nature of this type of street circuit, high humidity, stop-turn-squirt style circuit, with a certain street surface and tire combination made Mercedes slump. My guess even if they salvage 5-6 at Singapore race day. It will be one or two time deal throughout the season only. They will be back on pace next weekend in Suzuka.

Mercedes can't get these tyres to "switch on" at this circuit....and it seems like they are not sure why. There hasn't been any fundamental changes in the cars mechanical performance since the last race when LH was dominant.
Long stint pace would suggest a result of RB RB Ferrari Ferrari Merc Merc if overtaking is possible. Its going to be interesting - there has been a safety car at every Singapore GP, so putting that in the mix and how cars get away at the start is key. |

Awesome finish for Ferrari. Great work by Ricciardo also. The Hulkenberg/Massa crash could have been avoided but feel that Massa should have been the one penalized at the same time, Hulkenberg should have looked before diving in.
This idiot though, wins the "THAT GUY" award for the day

One of the most boring races all season.
Podium finishes as they qualify. Even the guy that went on the track wasn't entertaining. Last edited by DieGrüneHölle; 09-20-2015 at 12:44 PM.. |

Arrest made over track invasion during race
Arrest made over track invasion during race
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2015/09/2...n-during-race/ A 27-year-old man has been arrested after the Singapore Grand Prix was disrupted when a person appeared on the circuit during the race. The Safety Car was sent out after the figure was noticed on the straight after turn 13. Race leader Sebastian Vettel was among those to report seeing the track invader. “The Singapore Police Force have confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested and is assisting police with investigations,” said a statement from the FIA. “This followed an incident in which an unidentified man gained unauthorised access to the Marina Bay Street Circuit during tonight’s race.” “The man went on to the track near turn 13, triggering the deployment of the Safety Car.” “We are awaiting a full report from the Clerk of the Course in order to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.” It is the second time this year a person has gained entry to a track during an F1 race weekend. A spectator crossed the track at Shanghai in front of the start/finish line during the second practice session.

Don't they cane you for punishment in Singapore? What a dope.
Pretty dull race otherwise.

Pretty straight forward race.
Safety car came out at the right moment that eliminates any undercut attempts. The only excitement were a few mid-field overtakes and random shit causes DNF on drivers, and of course the random guy entered the track. The only good thing that taken away from Singapore, was Ferrari got genuine pace on this track.

Jenson Button may be set to hang it up.
Given what has transpired this year and future prospects, I wouldn't blame him for wanting to. http://www.gptoday.com/full_story/vi...o_quit_F18242/ |

I am really getting totally bored with the 'city' type races. Almost zero passing, and the only item that actually generates some excitement is qualifying. But then, where you start on the grid determines where you finish on Sunday unless someone cocks up or there's a DNF, etc. Not really worth the time spent on Sunday IMHO.
