I'm going to review a Meditarranian blue 20d Thursday to Friday.
Looking forward to it, also going to write a couple of articles about it. Have high expectations to it. Way better than the cheap E84.

A great car! I am so jealous! I like the small nice detail on the seat!

I found that by accident when equipping the wheels. The aero makes the front end pretty aggressive. I noticed there was a missing $2400 (or so) option that was included in the price.

I saw the new X1 recently at one of the local dealerships. I didn't even realize it was the new one until my friend pointed it out (mostly because I was looking to see if they had an m5 on the lot). I really liked the updated front. Congrats and enjoy!

Very nice! I'm sure it is better in nearly every way than the previous gen. It sure looks good, and the interior is vastly improved.
I'll probably seem like one of those defending their old car, but curious how it's more fun to drive than the E84? E84 being based on the E90, with hydraulic steering and RWD based seems like it would have all the advantages in the fun to drive category. At least with the M sport package the E84 is the most car-like SAV/SUV i've driven. Anyways, congrats on the new ride. Our garages are nearly identical...M4 and X1 up in here. |

Transmission tunnel in X1 is lower than X3 and X5 and traditional BMW style shifter will just look and feel awkward (it will have to be at least 30~40% taller). The new shifter has just the right height. Feels robust and solid.

Agreed. In photos the shifter may seem odd, but once you see it and use it in the car, it's perfect and doesn't seem at all out of place or disproportionate
