While my car was in the shop I dd'd my civic and can't believe how awesome of a little car it is. Power is cool, but keeping up with faster cars in the twisties is fun also. Honda makes great cars period.

I think the shiny years for Acura is gone. Still I miss my 2007 Acura TL Type S from the successful decade of Acura. That car was the best Japanese car in 2004-2009 but Acura stopped at that point for years...

That and the Supra Turbo are cars I still want but just don't have the extra cash or garage space for. How could you have given it up? |

After that gen TL, Acura hit the series with an ugly fat stick. The last TL (> 2009) was a porky ugly thing. Like a fat chick with braces.

That's another windows Acura missed... The upcoming NSX is the car must have been introduced in 2010 and not 2016... The new NSX doesn't have anything to say against 991TTS, R8, 570s or even AMG GTS... I mean at that price point I pick all of those cars over NSX NOW but not 5-6 years ago

I was set to buy a TL in 2007...then I drove a Mazdaspeed6 & bought that. So I disagree w/the TL being the best Japanese car from that time.

They probably sell a hell of a lot more crossovers and SUVs than they would with an Integra and who can blame them for not wanting to screw that up (lose money on something new)?

The day Acura builds a RWD car is the day I decide to drink out of a toilet.

I still own my 99' GSR, it has 200,000 miles on it and I just finished doing a mini restore on it so that my daughter can drive it. I was big into Hondas back in the 90's I had a swapped CRX, swapped Civic Coupe, and this 99' GSR and my son has a 97' GSR that was mine as well.
This is my 99'GSR.

Never had an Integra personally. The only Acura I've had was a '99 CL 3.0, which I got a killer deal on since it was the last of two on the lot during the hiatus for the CL. Looking back, the CL was a nice car, great for my frequent 4.5 hour cruises up and down the FL turnpike. But day to day, the Integra would have been way more fun.
But I did have an '09 Fit Sport, and despite the puny output, that car was a blast to fling around. Nimble little platform. Swap out the engine for one that outputs at least 200ish hp and lbft, and some better suspension bits. That would be a fun BRZ/FR-S/MX-5 fighter,

Only problem is, it won't come back unless Honda decided to start a third brand below Honda, a la Scion -- which, as many of you know, is being killed later this year because Toyota no longer has a pressing need to attract younger buyers. Acura's now solidly a conservative luxury carmaker -- essentially the Buick of Asia. An Integra fits the brand these days about as well as, say, a performance variant of the coming Chevy Cruze hatchback would fit into Buick's.

I'm buying an S2K as soon as it's released. I would prefer that, but the integra/RSX were iconic.

Too bad their race technology no longer trickles down to their production vehicles. I recall double wishbone suspension and VTEC.... Maybe if you count the overdue Acura NSX that's coming (not V8). |
