To really race apples to apples price wise, I'd love to see a P100D up against an Alpha 9 GT-R. |

And while a Model S may be quick, they tend to not be that impressive over 120mph, they're not exactly great handling and of course, they can't do much over a long period of time. We're getting closer to EVs being truly competitive, but it's unlikely that Tesla will be the brand to crack the barrier. I'm personally waiting for the Porsche EV to see if it's the whole package. |

I'll be more interested in EV after a battery breakthrough is made. They're just too heavy to interest me in their current state. |

Incorporate Tesla's tech let the Germans design it, shove a big American V8 in it and let the Japanese put the damn thing together.

Of course, this is slated to be a 2022 technology from what I recall, so a lot can happen (if anything happens at all). But interesting potential. I'm not sure if solid state would also be lighter, but I think once the range and charge time issues are solved (critical), the next critical issue will be weight. |

The guy that owns the Tesla is totally humble in his videos, so not sure what your bragging reference is all about. He's just out there, having a good time and capitalizing on his car's strengths. If people are dumb enough to run him in the 1/8 for big money, that's their fault.

On a serious note, I saw one in downtown SF back in December and thought it looked great.
Interior however, based on photos at least, looks like trash. |
