Dodge needs to use better tires then. Not sure, but Porsche reserved the ring for two days. The record has been broken, they're just crossing the t's and dotting the umlats. If Dodge wants a shot, they should put some effort into it and not using mouthpieces on the internet to race stats.

The ACR is maxed out as far as what it can do with a manual IMO. |

Porsche really just delivered one of the most absurd cars here. IMO this car, especially for the price is so impressive in its capabilities; more so than the 918, P1 and Laferrari. I am guessing the new GT3 RS will be right around the 6:58-7:01 mark too. |

Upon comparison, the Porsche had a top speed down the final long straight of 313 km/h and compared to the Vipers 282 km/h. Also, the Porsche carried much more speed through the final set of turns after the straight leading to the finish.
I don't think its tires like some said, if the viper were pushing 700hp and the driver carried some more speed through the end, I think the gap would significantly decrease. Unfortunately, that just wasn't the case. Regardless, Bravo Porsche! |

Still would take a run of the mill HURACAN over this. Why? Because, EXOTIC great looks = Everyday WIN not just racetrack.

Yes, of course.
That's supposed to be 800 kg (not lbs) which is 1710 lbs. It was a typo on my behalf. Last edited by Motorsportenterprise; 09-28-2017 at 08:33 AM.. |
