Today I changed my avatar. Is it anoying? If it is I keep it that way.

Doesn't bother me at all (even at work) ... most were done in a tasteful manner ... posters were just expressing themselves

Was gonna ask Shim what's up with all that orange erotica (awesome pics btw) ... the guy got some sort of weird food fetish?

I am relatively new to this post so I might have missed something ...

I wish it were a cookied response, as to your profile. So, it knows where you are at. If I set it to not show sigs @ form my work PC, I don't show them there. From home, bring it on!

Seriously, I would be crucified if people came by my desk and saw some of the sigs.

I agree with these guys though. There's plenty of other (even better) places where you can get your fix of giggling boobs animated gifs - you can even get one for you cell phone if you want.

I'm not so sure that a BMW enthusiast board is the best place for these pics. Plus, any women members (if we can get some) would probably find such images degrading and well...rude. And I don't like being rude to the ladies.

Funny, I just PMed mark about this last night saying the same thing. I want to see sigs so I know what cars ppl have, but browsing at work is becoming increasingly difficult with some ppl's signature pics.

This I think is the main issue. And I would say that most users that use this site use at during work hours. I know I do. It's not about censorship. This forum is for fans that want information.

It would also be nice to have a site that women can look at without having pictures like that as another user said above.

I personally have no issues with nudity or offensive material when I'm browsing at home, but I work on a trading floor (ie, no privacy) at large NY investment bank, so that kind of stuff doesn't go over well with the bosses. We go to great lengths nowadays to make sure there isn't anything offensive in the work environment.

Agreed with pistol pete and triton. I think we can have some guidelines in place to make this site more office-friendly. Evidently quite a few of us are at least having a bit worries when browsing this site at work.

I would assume that if you are viewing non-work-related materials at work, you would be in trouble anyways. I'm neither against nor am I adamant about having images as such in my signature. But until they do "ban" it, I'll leave it on. Just a note, I borrowed this image from someone on another bmw forum, and they've had it for quite a while without having any complaints.

At least at my work they don't chain us to our desks and make us work non-stop for 8 hours.

We have a lunch break and a couple short breaks through out the day.

Yeah that's what I'm doing now. I just went to my Settings, and uncheck "Show Images". I can still see signatures, but all images in sigs are deleted and all the images people post in their threads come up as links instead of automatically displayed in the post.

Seems like a pretty good compromise for now.

And to reiterate, this isn't a big conservative conspiracy trying to take over e90post (at least not from me). I frankly could care less how much nudity we had on this site - just want to be able to browse at work in my downtime.
