Well I'm talking about the e60 M5, not the next gen Fxx M5.

Not crazy about the wheels. Never was, even on the Avant.

If it was RWD I'd take it over an M5 no question (or an E63 for that matter). Nonetheless, I still find it hard to like the M5 as much as this, despite the lack of RWD.
When you see the wheels in person I would lay any money down you will love them, they are pure class.

Not wanting another RWD vs AWD debate but when you can put every single horsepower to the road surface like you can in the RS6 I bet it's appeal would become very clear. You can take liberties with the RS6 that could never be taken with either the E63 or M5.

I understand that wet weather is less of a problem for you boys in the US but if you do suffer heavy rain and get the chance to try out the RS6 saloon in the rain when it comes then I think you will be impressed if not totally convinced that AWD is the way to go on every other occasion.

I understand your point of view on the rwd vs. awd debate, but, in my opinion (btw I too don't want this to devolve into yet another one of these debates...people...prepare the "ah geez not this shit again" pictures haha) rwd is just more fun to me. I mean, a car can be fast and fun, but that's not to say that a car can't be just as fun while being minutely slower. I like the tail-out antics that a FR car can provide. I also appreciate the relative ease of laying down gobs of torque and power that comes from an awd car as well. I just tend to prefer the former over the latter.

RWD is much more fun. The adrenaline rush of knowing I could be in a ditch with one wrong move is amazing and that is why I drive what I do. AWD seem too safe/boring to me.

Bimmer Loyalist,

No problem mate, I was only highlighting the RS6's abilities through the use of it's awd system and what benefits you may get because of it. I agree that rwd is more fun, well up to a point because I hate it in the snow and ice but then you aren't probably troubled with that.

I think it's hilarious when people insinuate that audi copy bmw design cues. Give me a break. They don't need to copy any manufacturer, they're innovative all on their own.

"Look, they copied bmw by having 4 rolling wheels"

That looks really nice! Audi's simple and fairly consistent designs actually keep me interested. Although i am wondering is that how audi's "camo" looks? That doesn't do a very good job, good for us i guess!

Audi is getting good. If they dropped their prices some they'd probably steal a lot of bimmer ppl.

I read somewhere that stated BMW lose money in America and are purely chasing customers and sales to increase their standing on the world stage. It does sound unbelievable but then why is Audi so much dearer in the US compare to other parts of the world if this is not the case.
