The one thing that annoyed me most about this, besides the complete lack of explaining any fucking thing, was how well people drove and ran around blind. The car nav scene...please, those dolts would have driven into a tree within 50 yards. Bullock's character literally traversing forests (at times there was no cable). She would have made it 10 feet before not knowing which direction she was pointing. So unrealistic. By the time I got to the end and learned that i'm learning nothing about what has been going on, i was like fuck this movie. But overall 3 out of 5 also. lol Was fun for a while, and had potential.
I suppose if a sequel was always planned, and it explains more, that lessens the suck a bit. |

After carefully analyzing the film I have come to the conclusion that the reason they could not open their eyes outside was that there were a large number of alien craft with very large 4k displays broadcasting the Bird Box 24/7. This would cause anyone who happened to catch a glimpse of such horror to loose their mind and commit suicide.

I'm on board with the monster=social media theories on the interwebs. Makes sense to me.

I can understand the disappointment of someone's hard work not making it into the film but then again, I don't blame them for the omission. That's not very scary, especially enough to create all the destruction in the movie.
