Yup. The dark gray one is a mgrs demo. 1200 miles $61K.
I don't think I want that one...... I saw a silver with factory rims painted black on the showroom. Kind of hid in the back. That is the only color I have not seen and I am a silver guy.

I would think that is what it is for. As long as you don't go around lunch. He will probably be in it...at The Men's Club.

$3500 off sticker.
Silver or dark gray........white is out of the running. Black and red never were. Thinking silver. Yup, silver.

btw -- my vote is for the dark gray or graphite; not black, but darker than silver. I may be biased though since my 335i is SG.

Gonzo, I'm curious. Have you gone and looked at a M3 in the flesh? It would be a shame if you picked up a C63 without at least having sat in a M3.
Whichever car you get, you should bring it out to one of our DFW meets after you take delivery.

The owner of the company I work for is buds with the stores GM. He just took the keys to an S63 for flat invoice. I can get any car "In Stock" for 3% over invoice. I have not sat down with them yet. From what I found online it came to about $3500. I might have missed by a few dollars but think it is pretty close.
The gray is nice but the wheels I would like to put on it will go better with silver. And I really like silver.

Yes I have. I have been looking at so many cars I am tired of it. The e90 M3 was right there in the decision but....TORQUE is what I love and am ready for a new emblem this time. It will be my first MB. We shall see if it is the last or the first of many.

For the same money - Are any of you considering the CTS-V?
IMO definitely worth a look when they're out. 556hp and 551ft lbs torque - stock. Choice of 6-speeds (auto or manual)

I'd still flip flop between the C63 and the M3, but I would never dismiss the CTS-V. It's a damn nice car too.

CTS-V is too big of a car for what I'm looking for.
Plus, my mental bias against it would probably keep me from having as much fun in it. Just wouldn't feel right driving it. Not to mention that I really like having BMW service and warranties.

Funny thing is that if you're just sitting in the cars, the C63 completely owns the M3. The seats are just way above the M's league.

Any of them would be more than appreciated.
There is an e92 M3 in silver and black on the floor up the street. It looks soooo good. I want to see the CTS-V in person.

I don't know which one is better. But yes, agree, bone stock and not tracking, I'd take the C63 over the M. The M3 does lack torque, I plan to mod its engine (keeping it NA) to make up for that gross lack of torque and well, yes, get the extra HP and a nicer V8 sound. Oh yes, my pic is definetly silver (or that other darker silver that AMG uses) with the 5 spoke 19" wheels.

Both are sick. If I did not want/drive a stick I would get C63. I only drive stick so the M3 is the ONLY choice for me.

yea. This original post was dated in August 08'
But more test drives and the fact that you get a 7% discount on ED M3's just pushed me in the direction. Now I have an E92 M3 to do an ED on in about a month. |
