Wouldn't be so bad with more BMW style headlights.

I am thinking they will sell a lot of black and dark grey cars, with black trim. People will want to soften some of the design issues.

His designs were logical and coherent. These new bmws look like different cars from every angle. There's 0 fluidity to these designs they make no sense. It's as if separate design teams are tasked with each angle of the car and they have to mash it all together at the end.

The front styling makes it look unworthy of the badge. Reminds me of a Subaru/Toyota/Lexus type of thing we always see.

Is it really that hard to design a good looking car or are they just hiring anybody these days... it can only be one or the other

I can only conclude they do not want to. Can't afford an 8 Series, you get an ugly car.

Whatever the upper management mandate is to the styling department of these BMWs, it is sorry ass.

Looks like I'm in the distinct minority here but I like the overall planted aesthetic and isolation of the cabin. As others have mentioned though, triangles have to go.

I actually agree with this, I think they've been making their base, non-M, & non-M Sport cars look worse on purpose so that you pay the extra penny... if not, you'll still buy one and market for them when you drive one🤔

Looks like the 2021 F23. Will be the last vert I will get and keep for a while. I love the current design. It's classic.

This video goes over the mistakes in the 2 GC and mentions that as well as problems with the headlights, tail lights, and air scoops.

The crease not going through the door handle isn't really a design problem, I think the side looks pretty good. Look at the 2002, the E28, or even E60 (a lot of people think it's an ugly car, but I like it)

The front and rear though, I agree

At least glad to see a vintage Hofmeister Knick! One beam per headlight could work if proper designed which seems to be not the case imo.

I like that front end and the headlights are a nice modern take on the 2002. The twilights look like after market Kragen Auto Parts products, but I will wait for the real car for final judgement.

Hmm, kind of like it... But also think it looks like the current 2 series had a drunken orgy with a Merc CLA and an Audi A1 one night and this is the lovechild

I am deeply disappointed that the rendered G42 doesn't have a huge grille.
