North America is large and spread out so it's going to take a lot longer here for the infrastructure to be in place so it's no surprise EV sales are very low in North America compared to EU. I'm sure people in EU feel the same about us but most North Americans don't really care much about what EU is doing with all their EV laws. Gasoline is cheap here so car buyers don't have a lot of motivation to switch to EV especially with the current limited ranges they offer between charges.

With that said its been said that in 2024 the next gen m5 will be made in BEV/PHEV. This change makes me wonder if gas will disappear sooner than we think, or not. |

Nope. M5 sales are miniscule. It won't happen until they become affordable for the masses at entry level mid-size and compact pricing. Even at that pickup truck sales in North America are massive so it's going to take even longer to phase in EV pickup trucks that are affordable.
