Canada, we're a much smaller market than US so I can see it taking longer, but at this rate it seems I'll be getting it next year. I was hoping not to have to drive my 335 another winter.

I'm interested in the new M240, if I want to get in Spring should I wait to order for a bit?
do you think there will be a bunch on lots by then (I know the market is bad but I have seen people still get some percent off MSRP on BMW) |

They said we got 3 the first one already started production and can't be changed it has xyz and 2 more that have not gone to the queue yet that can be changed but if they roll over to being built they will be built to our specs and you will have to wait until we get another allocation and can change it. |

I walked in and placed a deposit and build sheet on October 8. Dealer said they had an October allocation that could still be edited. I guess I'll just trust the dealer and wait for updates.
Looking at the other thread, it seems like 2-4 weeks after ordering, people got a "production begins" status. |

My dealership had two spots or allocations and we just modified one of those since I was trying to order an M2 Comp back in late June/early July so I am going with this M240i now. Mine is finished in production but waiting to ship out.

I am constantly checking mine every day so I can understand that dilemma. Mine was moving along a few weeks ago around October 8th it finally started and now its done with production and handed over to "sales" and waiting to head out this way.

I'm in Cal, got my allocation last week with zero problems. I was the first actual order at the BMW dealer in my area. My production is scheduled for 1st week of November. They are still allowing me to make changes, in fact I removed the illuminated M trim today and added Ver. Leather seats in order to get lumbar for driver side.
BMW Corparate (spoke with today) said if you have a build week of (week 44) 1st November you're estimated to get your car end of December maybe before Christmas. Last edited by .Slug; 10-25-2021 at 06:54 PM.. |

I did switch BMW dealers.. went to larger one in NC
I signed build order Friday and boom they got an M240 allocation this morning for week #48. I made a switch from 230i to M240ix last week and my prior dealer wanted to add $2,500 market Adj charge for the M240. Told them no thanks & received my deposit back Friday after sealing new deal with the 2nd dealer
