SUVs are utilitarian vehicles, people and cargo movers. Sure some look nicer than others and that’s fine but no matter what is done they still have SUV DNA that cannot be hidden. That manufacturers are choosing to electrify SUVs first is because they sell the most. It’s hard enough to find reasonably priced gas-powered sports cars let alone electric versions. I don’t care how fast the Mustang Mach E goes, it still looks like a bastardized SUV. Maybe I’m too old school but I want to see an electric 40-60K sports car or sport coupe that looks like a Supra, M240i, Nissan Z, Audi A5, Mustang GT, etc. Then (if the support infrastructure was robust) I would be a buyer.
