I want to thank Ruebarb for the info on Herb Chambers BMW in Sudbury. I met with Ray Hovsepian, who also gave me 2.5% off and a fair price for my trade in. I also got the I.D. Me discount of $1500. My order went in February 3 and Ray had an immediate allocation available for me. Awaiting production start date. It was worth my 70 mile drive to Sudbury, as the two closest BMW dealers failed to offer me a satisfactory deal. Thanks again, Ruebarb!!!

Yup, ya gotta shop around, 1) for an open allocation, 2) Best $ deal, and be willing to travel a bit. I had to deal 120 miles from home to get an allocation. Would have extended that to 400-500 miles if needed to.

Discount are smaller than I’ve gotten in the past but with a trade-in I felt I did better on the M240i transaction than any other. I got over 10k more on my trade than I expected. Crazy times.

my local dealer wanted a flat $5k markup for all orders. my car facebook group suggested a dealer about 30 minutes away in the city over and they gave me $1k under MSRP for the car. I took it right away... I probably could have gotten a better discount if I looked around more but it was good enough for me. needless to say, I will not be going to my local BMW dealer.

also funny (to me) fact is that same BMW dealer that gave me a $1k discount also has a VW dealer under the same group. that VW dealer wanted almost $10k over MSRP for the new Golf R. I originally wanted the Golf R and looking around with all the markups eventually turned me to the m240i even tho they are not really in the same class. I guess that same company earned my money regardless.

My dealership is selling at MSRP it’s the first thing I asked. They only had 4 new cars. They gave me a pretty decent amount for my trade and some tax saving thing also. I bought the only 230i they had.

In Arizona here near Phoenix it's crazy unbelievable and darn impossible to get any new or even used vehicles. But long story short they did mark up my car quite a bit but they also gave me an insane amount of money for my old car that I traded in so it pretty much was a wash or I'd be waiting forever to find a vehicle as I already was for months.

Got my G42 M240 for MSRP on 3/14/22. I was pleasantly surprised. However, they are marking up M3/M4/M5 comps $2500-5000 over MSRP.
