Looks to be an update on the G20 section

Pre fab'ed oval quad tips from aliexpress. They require no mods to the stock system. One set says "customized m340"
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002830305798.html

Here's the original thread
https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1659619&page=1

New development starts on page 5 of that thread here
https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1659619&page=5

So if someone has a friend with an m340i bust out a ruler and confirm outlet size is the same on the m240i

So, has anyone gotten adventurous yet? Are there any products being made for the M340i that would potentially fit this car? One thing I don't want to do is mess with the sound profile.

How do you like the DINAN intake? Was it worth the $500?

I love the aesthetics of it. Plus it is very similar to stock set up so super easy to install.

Deleted the intake muffler, smooth air flow pipe to the turbo. More turbo spool and bov sound which is an added bonus

I got the M340i exhaust tips from Aliexpress here and they fit. As an aside, for anyone looking for an easier solution, this solution for the G20 M340i does not fit, the trapezoids on the G42 are just slightly bigger in every direction.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the quality of the welds and installing it with the pins and lock nuts was pretty straightforward. It's not perfect, in that putting a round peg in a square hole kind of thing, but I like it.

Looks good! Which color did you get? How long would you say the install took?

Thanks for posting this. So the factory exhaust pipes are square that go into these round tip sockets, or did you not mean that literally

I got the "Black M340i" Version which is black painted stainless with a glossy real CF tip shroud. On the top of the end of the tips, there is a little notch in the CF, and in that notch is the ///M logo engraved in the metal and painted over with the black paint. It's a nice touch, and not very obvious unless you look close at it. For length, that notch is more or less exactly the length that it sticks out beyond the bumper. Install took maybe 20 minutes? The original tips are attached by two T20 (i think T20, didn't pay attention) Torx screws. You can access one directly and the other one by unbolting one bolt on the rear diffuser, or by bending it back a bit. Then you slide them towards the front of the car, downwards and then backwards until it comes off. The majority of the time was setting up the new tips, sliding them on, test fitting the relative position of the tips in the bumper holes and then removing and readjusting again to get both sides lined up, equal and leaving the same gap away from the plastic in each direction.

No, it's a oval socket to bolt onto the oval exhaust pipe, so it works well, its more that the opening in the bumper is a trapezoid and these tips are round, so there is a little incongruity, but overall I still prefer this look over the trapezoid tip.

Copy, yeah Im good with that, as long as it bolts up snuggly. It looks great on your car. Way better than the factory disconnected bumper tip, or whatever you want to call it.

Thanks for the additional info on these tips! I'm ordering a set today! Does the M logo look legit?

No, it only interfaces with the exhaust after the electric valve, so it at the very, very end.

Did you pick "Black M340i", "Carbon Fiber A M340i", or "Carbon Fiber B M340i"? I can't tell the difference between these
