Calipers are the same Brembos (4 pot front/2 rear), rotors are dimpled and slotted giving better heat better heat dissipation. (Front are 370s with the M performance)

Just did the M Performance upgrade but have not had the opportunity to test it but the pedal feels much better already after just 100 kms.

so it the M Performance BBK just larger rotors compared to the ZTK package? then the M Performance BBK calipers are larger than the M Sport, but the same as the ZTK?

tbh, there could be a better naming sense for these BBK lol

The stock brakes are M Sport and have smaller rotors
The upgrade to M Performance adds larger front rotors (30mm larger)
and substantially bigger calipers, rotors front and rear are dimpled and slotted, included brake pads, dust shields and wear sensors

The ZTK package was not available when I bought this and is still hard to get here in Australia. I think (but am not 100% sure) the difference with the ZTK over the M Performance upgrade is cross dimpled and slotted rotors, Maybe someone can clarify or confirm this.

This is correct with the additional Red Calipers, obviously

Still waiting on confirmation of the ZTK caliper size difference vs standard MSport. I've asked many to measure but had no luck..I may end being the one to post measurements when my car is delivered in a few months

Yes, and if the calipers that come with ZTK are the same as the aftermarket M-Performance kit, then I really wish I got it the ZTK package!

The front rotors are 348mm (M sport)
The rear rotors are 345mm (M sport)

M Performance rotors 370mm Front and I’m sure they are the same rear (345mm)

The ZTK package would likely be exactly the same as M Performance (Rotor size and calipers) other than the drilled and slotted rotors. For what it costs it’s really good value for money as all the essentials are included especially the Mich PS4

BMW hasn't documented this anywhere and reviewing images of non ZTK and ZTK does not show consistently larger calipers on ZTK. In some images, the ZTK calipers look gigantic while in others they look the same as non-ZTK.

Feel free to PM the price if you want.(AUD)
Would be keen to see how much the upgrade kit cost and would they fit on the stock 893 wheels.

Guessing its rotor and calibres?

Thanks in advance

The kit has

cross drilled/slotted rotors, calipers, dust covers, pads and wear sensors for all wheels
The Distributor for these is Andrew Brien at Southern BM in Moorabbin. Give Andrew a call he’s a good guy. I’d be guessing Costellos would be the place for you in the ACT

I’d say they would fit the stock wheels but can measure the caliper height off the front rotors if that helps

That would be great I run the 893 wheels with the 245 profile tyre at the front Pretty sure that's the wheel the ZTE package uses ?

Looks like the ZTE is 245/35/19 - R 255/35/19. Not sure of the wheel diameters but think it's 8.5" front and 9.5" rear
That's the setup I have on mine but have more aggressive offsets

Google Tells me the 893 M wheel your numbers correct. not sure if ET25/ET35 is the offset numbers?

jbazz: just to clarify, that measurement and pict is of a ZTK option caliper?
My non ZTK brake caliper measures the same.
all the info i've been able to dredge up (no thanks to BMW) is that the non ZTK and standard M240x have the same calipers, difference is in the larger and sloted/dimpled rotors as has been mentioned.

Now if someone can measure the BMW performance brake upgrade (not ZTK) caliper and give us measurements....I'm almost certain they are larger and one giveaway when looking at just picts is to look at the distance between the visible casting for the 2 pistons...there is a larger gap with the performance ones (at least in a couple of images i saw on a site a couple months ago.

Here are some more photos and measurements of the US spec M-sport front calipers made by Brembo.

While these Brebmo calipers look similar, I think their are a few different versions to support different rotor sizes

The back of the caliper indicates 4x40mm (4 x 40mm pistons)

348MM rotor diameter and 36mm rotor width.

Other caliper options according to this thread - https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/a...1210025/page-4

4x40-44/348/36 (assume Standard M-Sport)
4x40-44/374/36 (Assume ZTK)
4x40-44/395/36 (Assume M-Performance)

Need photos of the back of the calipers from you folks to validate

So are these non ZTK M240 stock calipers?

Disregard, I re-read your post

I’ve taken delivery of my uk car. Again options are very unclear here.

I’ve selected the pro package which gives the wider wheels, ps4s tyres etc.

I’ve also selected the m technology cooling package which no one knows too much about whether it increases brake disks and calipers.

What by dealer did say was that 4 cars were delivered with mine, all had the pro pack and only mine had the cooling pack. The discs all appeared to be the same 370ish mm versions but the calipers on my car were significantly bigger than the others. Also they had a standard m240 with the Pirelli tyres and that had smaller discs but potentially the same size calipers as the 3 pro pack cars.

I’ve not had time to remove wheels until I ceramic coat it but from holding the tape over the wheel, the discs appear to be 370-375mm, the calipers are 355mm/14 inches. What I also noticed is they are really close to the wheel. I will get some exact measurements when I take the wheels off
