I have my fingers crossed. Dealer said a few days ago it’s still showing the shipping code so who knows. Meanwhile my Dad back in the States custom orders a new Grand Cherokee summit reserve and gets it in like 5 weeks. Gotta love ordering a brand new model from halfway around the world.

I don't think it's bad but it's mostly a matter of personal taste.
I still wanted "physical" commands/buttons that the idrive8 probably won't have anymore.
All these digital screens quickly become dirty and are tedious to use with X menus and XX sub menus.
That's one of the reasons I ruled out the golf r.

I read elsewhere that the system was not up to date at "h" time.
I also don't understand why some orders are delivered before others, which are ordered earlier (question of country?).
Apparently it happens in droves on the US east coast.

My car is in status 165, so it's at the Veracruz port waiting to go to Bremerhaven port.

Anyone knows how to simply filter vessels that go from one known port to another port while the are in transit?

That'd be great to because its almost 2 weeks of in the sea...we could filter it by origin+destination port...

I had already looked at the ships a little but it is not easy.
There are several sites.
You have vesselfinder.com, marinefraffic.com, myshiptracking.com, etc...

If you have the exact name of the boat, it's quite easy.
Otherwise you have to search the ports (Bremerhaven for arrivals and Altamira for departures) but it's not very easy because they make stopovers and if you don't have a paid account you only see limited functions .

Here, the salesperson said to order (January) production in April and delivery in June.
End of April, production in June and delivery in August

Well now I’m confused.

The dealer said the code switched to 182 today, which she’s saying means the car was offloaded in Bremerhaven, but I thought meant it has been shipped.

I can’t tell if she’s confused or if I am. The Toledo is currently docked in Bremerhaven so it would make sense. I have my fingers crossed that she’s right and I only have a couple weeks to go!

I think she's wrong, that means that it's on the vessel not arrived to destination port...

Hi, I´m from Germany and ordered my new 240i at the beginning of February.

Status is 165 since Monday, the car might be on the vessel called "morning chorus". I´m not 100% sure if this is "my" ship, but it was the only vehicles carrier in port when my status was changed to 165.

The ship is expected to arrive in Bremerhafen on May 23. I am hoping for a delivery in June.

Because mine confirmed in an screenshot that it came out from "Veracruz" port.

But it is true that the destination port is the same as yours, Bremerhaven.

Maybe they have 2 possible port to depart from...

190 is one of the last codes, probably oriented to the company (AG in German) BMW or waiting to be oriented by BMW

Ya I kinda think the same, although it seems weird that with a manufacture date of March 11th it wouldn’t be on a boat until May 3rd. She’s still saying she thinks it’ll be at the dealership in 1-2 weeks, so we’ll see!

Anyone else notice that their car is getting delivered without certain wifi and CarPlay functionality? Mine has the 6P1 code so looks like I’m on the list. Sounds like it will be updated remotely sometime this summer, so it’s not a huge deal, but interesting that the dealer hasn’t mentioned it.

Believe me when I tell you that your dealer is perfectly aware about the 6P1 (no carplay/android auto, solvable via update) and 6UX (no touch function in the round roulette, not solvable).

They get emails on a weekly basis about this stuff... they simply won't bring the topic to the table for those that are not aware of the problem, why bring it to it?

But really, all dealers know about the AA/carplay stuff, all.

BTW, mine is also for europe:

- built on 17 of march
- on 27 of april was not yet in the vessel (confirmed by my dealer)
- i ask my dealer once per month, so in 10 days or so i will ask again.

I think that by this time, it will be about to arrive to destination port or if lucky it could have already done QA and be in transport to my country.


In short, my case: 40 days since built and not on vessel, so yeah, the timings you are mentioning match more or less what i've seen.

6p1 and 6ux are mentionned on my order form, just as there is no lumbar support on the passenger seat
