well w14 was last week so not that lol -- u might actually be w17 since it's w15 rn

They didn't cancel the #, but they had no rescheduled date for the vehicle to be built, it was back at order received with no info if they planned on building it. That lasted for 13 days, then I got week 14, which was a lie anyway.

It's week 19. That basically the history of your build weeks.

1st it was 14 then 18 now 19.

I was 4-14-23.

Where are you folks getting week numbers? The only information I am able to gather from the BMW website is ever-annoying "Today's the day" message that my car has entered the production cue. What other resources are available to follow the progress (or lack thereof) of my build?

I'm so happy!! Just got my production number today and can officially see my build on the website! I am well aware of the delays and am expecting not to see the car for some time yet, but it just feels good to see my build officially in the system.

your Sales Associate or the BMW Genius should be able to tell you the scheduled build week.. if you're in the production begins phase then technically your build week has already started or about to.. but the genius should be able to tell you which date your car is scheduled to be produced.. but that date can shift... generally i had luck by emailing them.. and they respond within a couple days

My CA in Massachusetts said he could get an allocation immediately, car probably delivered in 4 months. I’d like to work with my local dealer as they’ve gone out of their way helping me with a problem car, and these guys need to sell cars too! Outside of Philadelphia, PA

1. Ordered: December 3, 2021
2. Production number 1st week of January 2022
3. Went through all the BMW tracking steps with around a 4-week delay in “final inspection” and another 2-week delay waiting for shipping.
4. Then a few weeks ago it jumped a couple of steps to “in transit”.
5. Been in transit for over 2 weeks
6. My dealer called a few days ago and said the car should be at the dealership this Monday April 18th or Tuesday April 19th
7. Assuming the car will be delivered next week per the dealer, it will have taken around 14-weeks from the time I received a production number to delivery.

Call BMW Genius give them your production# and ask for your build week.

Contacted the genius this morning and my vehicle will be complete tomorrow. Also contacted my CA and he says I'm now at status 153 and will be entering Quality Control by the end of the week. Says the beginning of June at the earliest for delivery. Order placed 2/4.

Well this is odd. I emailed my CA for an update on my order and my CA tells me "there's no build week for your order yet but I'll let you know as soon as I get an update". However, when I called Genius this morning they told me I'm still scheduled for week 21. Why am I getting two different answers?

This is the timeline for my M240xi (Thundernight/Cognac):

1/27 - Order Received
2/13 - Scheduled for Production
3/25 - Production Begins
4-14 - Exterior Body Assembly, Paint Booth, Entering Assembly Line
4/15 - Assembly In Progress
4/19 - Quality Check, Final Assembly

I'm hoping my car gets shipped out by the end of the week. The car is fully loaded with the premium, parking and cooling/high performance tire packages, remote engine start, drive recorder, HK surround system, illuminated M trim, etc. I thought heavily on revising the build to include the 50th anniversary emblem, but glad I didn't as it sounds like people who edited their orders experienced additional delays. Hoping to pick the car up at the dealership mid-May.

Also, I noticed that wireless charging is now a $500 option. When I ordered my car, this was included as standard. I wonder if this is one of the main chip components that has been affecting the production. It seems odd that they would make this a separate option halfway through the model year unless there was a valid reason for doing so..
