I've been drving around in 95-100 high humidity, no problem. Been a nasty heat wave in the NE.

I've checked the bracket a few times, has not loosened.

If you don't mind me asking, does your car have the Parking Assistance Package and/or ACC??
I have seen photos of G42s with different lower grille configurations (inverted trapezoid in the center vs nothing but horizontal grills).

I wonder if the slybracket mounting location will block a sensor if the car has all those packages and options.

The sly bracket will block the ACC, that has the trapezoid. The Parking Assistnace adds a camera to the center of the kidney grill.

I think 2022 G42 dont have ACC ??? I have 230i and front grill look difference with the picture promo 240i with triangle grill on the front. I have used slybraket for 2 months

Some of the older 22s were offered with ACC. Of course it is now available again for 2023 builds

Also, I really think the front plate thing is just for profiling people and an excuse to pull someone over. Cops see a $60k + sports car and probably think we're not being nefarious and leave us alone. But I bet if I was driving my highlander without a plate I'd be stopped immediately.

On the same page here, towns near me are bad with enforcing front plates but I've made it 2 months so far. Basically seeing how long I can go before I get a ticket...I love the front end naked. Will go with an EOS mount eventually

Bought an EOS mount but will probably never use it. Only if needed to show that I "fixed it".

Only had the car for 2 weeks here in Illinois, not pulled over yet!

I just installed the EOS tow hook mount. I was able to adjust it so the front sensor isn’t blocked.
