Glad this bailout failed. I wish all of them failed. The US is bankrupt; we can't afford it. Bailing out poorly run companies is outrageous, and it's even worse when you have to borrow the money from China to do it. All of the money created out of thin air will cause extreme devaluation of the dollar with the consequence being the eventual replacement of the dollar as the world's reserve currency. Where does the govt get the power to bailout failing companies in the Constitution any way?
We need a forest fire if you will to clean out the garbage. The more the government tries to intervene the greater the fire will be and the longer it will last. If the free market is allowed to operate without interference, the correction will be severe and quick. If the govt. tries to continue to nationalize major institutions, the recession and eventual depression will be severe and lengthy. |

well if the bailout failed that means all the people who work at the GM factories are getting laid off thus increasing the unemployment rate. With more people in the streets, jobless, more crime...right? correct me if i am wrong.

so funny how stupid the USA government is. They dont want to give these companies 14 billion dollars, and they are so busy tearing down perfectly fine roads and re paving them around where i live for miles long. How stupid are they?
Anyways no wonder we are so fucked, Unemployment is going to go up, millions are going to lose their jobs, the violence rate will go up, none of these millions who lose their jobs will spend money, they will lose their homes and everything else. Wow amazingly stupid ass move. Its sad how the AMERICAN government cant even stand behind their AMERICAN product. Lets just make China richer. If it wasnt for this stupid oil crisis and the gas prices going up to 5 dollars these companies would be fine i bet, so what did this war bring out, and why are we still there? Lets spend 10 billion a month and jack off the muslims there and let our county suffer. These are some sad sad sad times, and i really wish this country the best. Who the fuck is running this stupid ass country. Im very sad to see these companies go and they will very soon...these companies have been around for a long time. Also for all you idiots laughing and being so company it got turned down, its going to affect you because if they arent spending then your company/business you are isnt going to be bringing in the money. Eventually leading you to lose your job or business. Choose one. These auto makers eventhough in a bad time, really help the economy, they employ more then 1 percent of the US POPULATION. Every 1/100 person you see. |

word. The government really should have no hand this deep in the economy. The automakers fucked themselves and either will get it together or be purged.

+100 agreed. those companies have done NOTHING to change their dire situations for YEARS. whether or not this financial crisis has spurred their problems, the writing has been on the wall for a very long time.

I think I read that Ford may be the only one to survive out of the big 3. Either way, the US loses: Give them the money, we lose. Don't give them the money, we lose.

I'd inherit it for 20minutes, take a shitload of cars and then sell it to some GM psycho for 20$, along with all the debts and problems..
