Honestly these wheels will go with pretty much any color. Personally would love those on a black sapphire to detract from the odd body lines and focus attention on the wheels haha

I hear ya on the black but I already have a black car and promised myself never again. Then we went looking for an SUV for my wife during a time when dealers did not have a lot of inventory. We knew the options we wanted and we wanted it in white. Went to the dealership who had the car we wanted...we got there to test drive and buy it. Turns out the white one sold the night before!! Guess what color was left with the same spec? Yup...black

We bought it and wifey is happy but now, in the winter, they will look grey LOL.

Fuck the haters, just like the G80/82.
I think the car will look good overall, especially lowered and with a flush offset. I'd be lying if I didn't still say I was worried about how the rear bumper will look once it's revealed. On the 'positive' side there is a M Performance bumper which might be nicer.
That bumper will only work with the Batmobile MPE so you'd have to buy that as well

I don't know if that's true. At first I thought so too, but I'm thinking that to run the MPE you just need a different diffuser, not whole rear bumper. If so then the MP rear bumper will work without the MPE.

Do you have it on good authority that there is in fact a bumper?

Yes, this might be something to get to break up the slab side. Since there is no M side gilles.

Here are the F87 M Performance carbon front fenders.

Looks like pieces you tack on to the existing bumper to me. Diffuser would have to be completely different though

I did. I loved the F87 the minute I saw it and bought one without ever driving one, and having seen one only from the outside. So I had high hopes for the G87 as a definite successor. I'll wait to see it in person, but its not pulling the strings internally yet.

Everyone was so quick yesterday to go from "omg pulling my deposit" to "ehhhh actually this angle isn't too bad" in less than 24 hours.

Let's wait another 16 days before we start complaining too much.

There are so many aspects of this vehicle that make it an upgrade from the F87. What are they?

Here are some positive thoughts:
1. It's all about angles. The car was clearly shot in a hurry at odd angles, this is why BMW took it down. Take a look at the XM, if it was shot like that, we would be all over it. However once marketing got a professional photoshoot, it made the XM look interesting and actually decent, I'll reserve judgement until I see it in real life.
2. The car will of course be a pleasure to drive.
3. It will be more comfortable than the F87.
4. It should outperform the F87, though those metrics are going to be crucial, as in, I think it will be quicker and faster in a straight line. However, on continuous track use, I would give the F87 a nod (with correct tires of course) due to less weight and more brakes.
5. Even at these odd angles, the car still looks significantly better than the G80/2. Those cars are a complete disaster when it comes to exterior looks alone.
To sum it up, if you want a smaller M car with a strong motor, 6 speed manual, that can seat 2 adults and 2 kids, the G87 is great.

Yes, it in fact may be an attractive vehicle in real life, as long as it's spec'd correctly.

Those wheels look similar to the M4 CSL wheels. I dig 'em.

Yeah I think this thing will look pretty badass. I'm basing this off of an MSport X7 which looks really, really good.

I think LCI could be great I feel like the bumper grill details should have been more like the m3 or m4. I will wait till I see the press release and price. I think there is huge potential for aftermarket improvements. None the less its going to be fun to drive.

Expect for a few idiots complaining about the "fangs" on the front bumper, I know for a fact that no one had to wait and see or play any of this mental gymnastics in order to convince themselves on how the F87 might of really looked IRL - it was love at first sight from day one the base model and even Competition was leaked, regardless of the angle of the photos.

This simple fact doesn't bode well for the G87's aesthetics, regardless of how you slice it or how much you have to squint your eyes to possible make it appear more palatable.
