The only thing here that is mildly upsetting is the little cubby. I like having a dedicated spot for my sunglasses but it's not a huge deal by any means.

The missing 12v socket in the boot / trunk is £7.99 in the UK. I'd have happily paid more to have the socket as it's just cost me much more to have my dashcam hard wired!

It’s just nice having it, extra usb c outlets to charge all sort of stuffs. If there isn’t it’s okay it’s not like it’s the end of the world. Wondering if there’s 12V socket there.

A functional touchpad will allow you to write up stuff on the screen. When I first placed my order for MY22, this feature was not included, I believe due to chip shortage. Here is a youtube video for further explanation (@ 0:55):

You've confirmed the touchpad is a feature on the M240i? I don't recall ever seeing it mentioned in the standard or optional feature's literature.

ive used it once on my 2023 model. its definitely there. doesnt work very well. tried entering an address and no matter how i tried my 2's kept turning into Z's

It is a standard feature included with the iDrive 7 system, but due to chip shortage they updated the build sheet to include the option 6UX which included non-touchpad iDrive 7. This happened early in 2022, so not all of the 2022 BMWs are missing this feature. Happy to hear that iDrive 8 brought it back.

My allocation was accepted at the end of March. I'm pretty sure I do not have it, which won't keep me up at night.

Another change I just discovered (which people may have know about?), but the shark fin changed from 22-23. It looks kind of like a door stop now.

Note, that's not a crazy amount of dirt on my car, it's a refrection of trees! 😊

I didn't notice this but I kind of like the new one better. It's lower profile. I've got the new one on my '22 M440i GC and it looks good.

That's where the telecommunication/GPS antenna resides. The change probably has something to do with the jump from 4G/iD7 to 5G/iD8.. Won't know for sure until the technical manual drops..

From looking at 2022 and 2023 photos/videos, it appears that the knee pads are only added with Black and Black/Blue Vernasca. Regardless of MY, Sensatec or non black (red/beige) vernasca have the plastic instead of leather for those trim pieces.
