The only reason for it to lose the MT is due to stricter emission standards. Until then there's no reason for them not to offer a MT for many years to come. I for one also beleive there's a pretty good chance the M2C will still have a MT no matter what the HP is. As an example, the 3.0 CSL is getting 553hp S58, RWD and MT. The only limiting factor to the MT is torque which is why the 3.0 CSL torque is only 406 lb-ft compared to the Competition models.

Things are still bottlenecked rather severely. Do you honestly believe it is going to be rectified within six months? Fat chance! Look how long this been going on with multiple estimates as to when it is going to end and it doesn’t become a reality.

Guess you missed this?

To be fair, I've found it to be more common to see German built cars to sit around for extensive periods of time.

Can someone enlighten me as to why an already built car is sitting around? Are they missing some component that will be added later or is it logistics that's the bottleneck?

Logistics. I've heard Germany is a mess at the port. Lack of gasoline and workers, are the biggest culprits.

Have you heard anything about SLP, if they're experiencing the same?

It has been hit or miss for various German built priority ones, but it has mostly been due to missing components.

Bremerhaven is a mess! Porsche is experiencing issues as well as they export from the same port.

Has anyone properly figured out the limiting factor on the torque limitation? We know most of the parts on the drivetrain/driveline are shared so I'm really curious about this.

Cadillac blackwing which is made in Mich are showing 6+ month delay due to chips and shipping. I'm sure this is a problem across the board.

If I had to guess G87s began production yesterday, 12.05 and the first one is anticipated to roll off the line approximately late Wednesday or early Thursday making the Dec 8th date Game previously mentioned marking the press announcement. I expect that we will see a press release on Thursday similar to the one released last Thursday when the first XM rolled off the line at Plant Spartanburg. Just a hunch.

The million dollar question, will it be painted in Zandvoort Blue or Toronto Red?

Gasoline? NO its just logistics driven by under capacity that has not been rectified - https://www.thedrive.com/news/new-ca...-for-us-buyers

That should be what is currently in production. Clearly not for the U.S. though.

Logistics. It makes more sense in our business to pay for storage at our vendor's facility for a couple more days to pay less in shipping. Probably a larger problem with full sized cars than light fixtures in our case.

Basically, if it costs 20 units to ship it next day, but 3 units to ship it next week, and the factory/vendor charges 1 per day, you're saving cost.

Also, a global-scale problem: used to be you'd ship some stuff to say Germany, and that truck would come back full. So it would be full going and coming back. Now though due to these expensive shipping costs, the problem exacerbates; it goes empty and comes back full, so the price to ship increases.
