This has been my experience. Sounds great.

I will offer that the dinky little plastic rivets used to secure the lid of the Dinan are not very friendly to maintenance and prone to pop off. You can easily replace with more sturdy hardware. But in terms of the quality of the housing itself and the sound, its great.

I ordered one on March 5th from MBGRAM and they keep telling me that I'll get the tracking info in 48-72 hours 8 days ago, then 24-42 hours 3 days ago. Not to mention that I have to keep reaching out to them every time. Getting pretty annoyed at this point. If they are on backorder, they need to just say that, and not keep promising to send the tracking info and then keep failing to deliver on that.

Roger. I ordered directly from Dinan and my order status says estimated ship date is 4/28. Unless distributers have stock, you're likely in the same boat

You're right (though MBGRAM should say as much), and the fact that keep re-watching this clip nonstop isn't helping matters, haha.

Yeah I can't wait! At least it'll be here by the time windows-down temps arrive in the northeast.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the two Dinan cold air intakes for the m240?

https://www.dinancars.com/products/i...arts/D760-0058

They have different part numbers but I can’t see any difference. I feel like I’m going crazy

On lid has an indent to allow it to fit with strut braces.

Doh! Now that I know the difference, it’s very obvious. Thanks!

Words of advice, DO NOT order anything from MBGRAM (https://mbenzgram.com/). Their prices are slightly lower than most, but they are awful to deal with. I wish that I would have read this Reddit thread first.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ft86/commen...y_from_mbgram/

MBGRAM keeps replying with automated messages, you can't get them on the phone and they don't reply to voice messages or anything that you ask them about in your emails. I started a credit card claim and will get my money back that way.

I ended up ordering the Dinan CAI from https://xlr8performance.com/ I called, and they had one left on the shelf in stock so I snatched it. The guy was very friendly and even gave me a 5% discount on the part.

Dinans backorder keeps getting pushed back, it's now expected to ship 5/26 —- I ordered on 3/13. I reached out to them and they said they are waiting on a single component that keeps getting delayed but "the part is now on the way to them". I'm kicking myself for not ordering it right away when I got the car. Every retailer says it ships from the mfg so it's only going to be equal or worse of a wait.

The question is do I wait for Dinan or go with an MST...I do prefer the CF look so I may wait it out.

Does anyone know of any vendors with them in stock in their own inventory?

It will not be easy to find a vendor that stocks Dinan.

We wanted to do that, but they do not offer any additional incentive for stocking dealers, so it costs more to stock with double shipping.
