2023 staggered setup on mine with 245/255 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s...after running both Bridgestone & Pirelli on my previous G20 M340, I can honestly say, Michelin beats them hands down in every category - ride, cornering & braking.
The only potential problem I may have are with the fronts, which are an odd width 245, quite close to the 255 rears, so not that much of a stagger... Anyone tried running lower width up front? (225 or 235?)...otherwise I may be tempted to upgrade the rears to either 265/275 |

'24MY RWD w/ZTK package just delivered came with Michelin Pilot 4 S *
245 front/255 rear Will likely move to 265 or 275 in back when these wear out. The rims are definitely wide enough to handle wider tires - the tires almost look too small for the rim width now. |

That is very odd - every one that I have seen with ZTK had the Pilot 4 S * tires which are actually very special tires made for BMW M cars. Did they come that way from BMW or did you buy it used?

I am 99% sure that my car was a BMW Press car. I bought it with 500 miles on it in February '23 and it was a '22 BMW M240i (has every factory option)and only ever registered to BMW of North America. So there's a good chance that they changed the tires at some point but I don't really know.

If we don't track our cars, I wonder if we would notice any difference between the more common PS4S VS the special PS4S*, especially on a RWD car. We might even notice a slightly quieter ride with a non-track oriented tire. |

For city / highway driving I really doubt that I would notice a difference.

What makes you think the PS4S* is a “track oriented tyre”?

The ZTK package is a track oriented package as opposed to a street oriented package. Those tires only come on M cars and baby M cars that have the tire/wheel/track package.
If they aren't track oriented, why would they not put them on all the cars? Everything that I have read about these special * tires indicates they were developed for drivers that would track their cars. I see no reason why they would develop a special tire for street use if it did not have track advantages. If you just want to argue about semantics, go ahead but I will stand by my assertion that they are track oriented. |

The OEM spec PS4S are nice, but they don't feel radically different than the normal ones (I've had both). |
