Yep both cars had 30 miles.
Originally when I said I wanted to drive it, they said no because it only had 4 miles on it. Then I saw they BOTH had 30 miles. Then I saw my friend's IG story of him driving the same car after PDI
The one guy (manager I think) was like "they must have had fun with it at the plant"... sike it's your employees lol

Techs generally add 8-12 +/- miles after the PDI.

What’s the significance? What car is this?

Edited- Nevermind. Maybe the Monorey destroying Gashopper went on a bit of a joyride.

So there's an extra unexplained 14-18?

My i4 had 4 miles on it (tests at factory and then loading) at my PCD but they didn’t have to go put gas in it, which they have on location anyway. I’m hoping my M2 has a similarly single digit number when I take delivery there.

The dealer I’m working with just invited me to test drive the demo HEA car the weekend that they just got in so I can get a road test and feel for the car, but I’m still waiting for my allocation

I just hope these dudes aren't blasting past 4500RPM. Or pulling a ThrottleHouse 4th gear lug fest.

The picture with the OP car next to it is great comparison. I still don't understand why all the M2, m3, m4 keep growing, bloated, and so much heavier?

Also the ride height looks SUV-ish high! Wonder if they come with shipping spacers in the springs.

My old e46 M3 would look like a go-cart next to this

Well one reason is that each car generation is more safe. In the unfortunate event of getting t-boned at an intersection by one of the millions of SUVs on the road, I guarantee you'll be better protected in the G87 than the E46.

Precisely. Three days ago in front of my sons school with a 30mph limit, a new Suburban collided head-on with a Toyota Matrix. Let me tell you, seeing the dashboard against the drivers seat isn't good.

-increasing gov't regulations. both for car occupants and pedestrians.
-people in regular 2-series wanting a better ride quality (increased wheelbase). The M division can only do so much given the starting point.
- BMW doesn't care about enthusiasts, they want to maximize sales volumes by catering to everyone (i bet alot of people complained the dct was jerky in parking lots so they axed it for an auto).

Nice pics.Does your M2 Competition have a full wrap? The color looks a bit like Misano Blue but the competition wasn’t available in that color.

Yes it’s wrapped Porsche Maritime Blue. Quite different than Misano and LBB in person. Has more of a periwinkle hue to it.

Yeah... i get all that and gov intrusion/protection.
makes sense

I don't post much here but still own 2 BMWs (some would say 3 w Supra) and have always had at least one BMW in fleet for last 30 years... def a BMW fan

not a fan of the large more mass population target audience. 100% been against slapping M badges on all kinds of variants for sales.

Hate how an M5 is the size of a proper 7 series.
"" "" m3 is now the size of an M5 (probably bigger than an e39)
"" hate how the M2 is now bigger than my old m3, etc.

get off my lawn- crank over

But i am at least interested in driving this new M2.... anyone want a free track day in VA?

Same I think they look great. Would like to see BMW offer them a la carbon buckets.

Either in full or with black alcantara sides that'll be dope
