if ya want bass, you can't really trick sound, you need air displacement for proper bass... a good 10/12" driver is the only real way to get bass |

Yah I’m doing mine in stages. I just coded the Bowers sound profile in, and immediately the surround sound tuning was so much better. Bass was obviously the same, so next stage is installing the subs to see the difference, and the incrementally adding the Stage 1 speakers as I have time. Been so busy since I got em haha 😅

I don't have bimmercode nor the expertise to code the bowers settings. Do you know of any equalizer settings that would make the audio sound better?

But if you decide to give BimmerCode a try, it’s so easy, genuinely, and the B&W sound profiles helped with audio clarity for the surround sound tuning quite a bit. |

OKAY, update.
Stage 2 of my audio testing: B&W sound profiles + Bavsound 8” ghost subwoofers. In a few minutes of listening they start to waken up and are immediately better than the oem HK subs. It feels like how the car should have come from the factory. The subwoofer response is immediate and finally doesn’t fall short of the amount of bass you’d expect listening to music. These are initial thoughts as it’s supposed to need about 10-12 listening hours to fully break in, but so far they’re noticeably better. For 99% of listeners, this is the stage I’d recommend. B&W sound profiles set to “On Stage”, surround Intensity at maximum, treble at +3, and bass at +3-5 (Bavsound recommends +0-3). I’m going to break the subs in fully and give additional thoughts, and then get the full “Bavsound stage 1 speakers” installed to finish it up. |

Have you installed all of the speakers that you purchased? Did you need to use any additional amps or replace any of the original amps? |

So for now, I’ll be in this stage for likely around 2 weeks to properly break the subs in, and give my thoughts again, before adding on the full speaker system to finish it up. Also Bavsound does not do amps for our application, so the amp was not touched. |

Turn the surround nonsense OFF completely. That's by far the biggest key. Music wasn't meant to be listened to this way and I don't understand why car manufacturers keep coding this garbage into their systems. You'll have a much better listening experience with this turned off, then adjust the EQ to your liking.
