Due to current long wait times, I'm enjoying these videos where I get to see how the car performs as different people drive it. Different story had I already got my car by now, but unfortunately, it looks like I'm waiting atleast another 8 weeks (2nd on the list with the dealer since October 2022 but live in Aus and logistics are a nightmare atm).

I totally agree with you, if someone needs a review from an influencer to get an idea or decide on a purchase, they are probably better off going straight to the doctor.
That said, if the reviewer/influencer is nice the content might even be interesting to watch, and it can be a good way to spend time in the morning on the toilet, regardless of the verdict.
In the next few days I will personally test the M2, and that is the only opinion that matters to me, not because I am better or more skilled than any tester/influencer, but just because my opinion is the only one that really matters to me, since it is my car, my money, my tastes, my preferences. Like it's about clothes, a woman, a dish to eat, a destination for a trip, and so on.

Exactly the same for me. I watched one review of the previous M2. Never tested it. A Chris Harris review. I knew I would buy the car, was biding time for the deal to mature etc. No other information. I will test the M2 potentially if HEA arrives soon lol. Car is built and shipping is in progress. My test might be the car I buy LOL!

For me the genre of expose' on You Tube for cars has gone too far into entertainment or worthless running of the mouth opinion. Easily ignored as the utter narcissism has gone too far. Its too much look at me etc -- than the car. I prefer to see the car, quick over-view and some specs and never see the presenter. No need. Just pass the info, show the car and shut up lol. Its a production line car - Not a Monet!

I get it but just don’t watch if you feel that way. For me, it’s been entertaining watching all the various videos as I anxiously await my car. Been that way since I put down my deposit in April ‘22. I knew it was likely that I’d never get to test drive it before delivery. None of these videos were going to sway me one way or another but that hasn’t stopped me from learning, sharing and having a few laughs along the way. It’s surely been perplexing seeing people get all worked up about the “influencers”. They’re sharing an opinion just like the rest of us, if you don’t want to hear it, then don’t click.
