No, no warping. None of my Honda’s past 30k when sold them due to the same issue. I am one of the 1% of the people that maintain the cars to a level that very very few go. And no, no warping, car is left to cool of when washing, not to mention car was brand new. Sold it at 10k km on board when Brembo did not achieve the desired results. Better, yet, still shit due to brakes.

Chassis are very soft, frame is soft, metal sheets are soft. Ask any body shop that does frame adjustment. The BMW is the stiffer frame you can work on. Japanese are butter.

Road chassis strenght nowhere close to a bimmer. Nowhere.

LOL had a CTR for a month and is nowhere near close to any BMW. I will pick a 128i over a CTR. Anytime of the day. Better experience, better chassis, better handling.

F1 means nothing in the regular Joe car. Is a marketing thing.

Liked Honda, was good and reliable, yet, not at the level I want in any aspects. From materials to overall experience, BMW is a true driver’s car. I don’t even know why they compare them anyway. They are totally different vehicles.
Don’t know what to tell you. You sound like a fanboy which is fine. Your post is loaded with bias and your thoughts on the CTR are definitely in the minority.

I’ve tracked my EM1 and DC2R stock pads/aftermarket pads and stock rotors without issue. Albeit, I’m no pro and wasn’t racing.

To the people who say Honda can’t be/beat BMW, the aims of both companies are different. However, both are capable of producing a great performance cars.

The term 'drivers car' is such pretentious nonsense, it's like people calling themselves 'foodies' because they think they know about food!😂
You can probably have more fun in a Fiesta ST for half the cost of a Type R, would I buy either over an M2 if money was no object, not a chance!
Oddly the new Type R keeps the ugliness of the old one and manages to make it bland as well...🤦

No Fiesta ST for us over here. I agree on the Civic looks.

I did not think this opinion was possible, the M2 is the uglier one in this case. I have no need for another car but the Civic Type R is to nice looking that I’m almost sad I have no reason to own one. That front end is incredible.

You can just see from the tenor of the discussion the M2 was not the winner. It’s the most mediocre M product of recent memory. Lost to the Supra, barely beat a 718 without SC2, lost to Civic. M2 owners are pulling at straws here to make their buying decision a good one. I’ll refrain on commenting on its looks.
It is manual though which is a win.

I was never in the market for one. Saw how it looks, no thanks. Seeing how it keeps coming up short in reviews, just reinforces the mediocre looks.

I'm not a G87 owner nor a BMW fanboy (6 Japanese, 1 BMW out of 10 cars owned) as I actually don't like most of their cars, but this is a hilarious take to me:

Lost to the Supra - Not sure what you're referring to but I'm guessing a couple YT vids. Wait for other official lap times. If you're talking about drag racing then here's C&D's results for both cars:

G87 6MT - 12.2 @ 118 mph
Supra 6MT - 12.4 @ 114 mph

G87 auto - 11.7 @ 122 mph
'21 Supra - 12.1 @ 117 mph

barely beat a 718 without SC2 - Tires or not, pretty impressive considering the 718 4.0 starts at $33,000 more than the M2.

lost to Civic - Because this guy thinks so

Seems it's everyone else pulling at straws to make this car out to not be as good as it is. Pretty weird.

Good thing we have to drive or buy cars that don’t appeal to us, without seeing reviews of those cars…for the privilege of expressing our opinions on those cars.

I don’t need to drive a car in order to determine that it’s mediocre. The performance reviews and photos of that car are sufficient.

You have a strange definition of Mediocre. I haven’t come across one piece of Journalism from any reputable source that calls the car mediocre.

But looking through your post history I see the pattern.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing.

Good Research G87 M2 Manual Transmission is an awesome car with excellent reviews.

M2 looks are nice maybe JDM inspired … the boxes in front and rear bumpers plus the rear wing as an accessory is FK8 CTR complimenting.

The video is a bit boring, but agreed...not sure why some are getting butt hurt or thinking these 2 vehicles wouldn't be compared or aren't in the same/similar universe. I think there's pros/cons to both, but they both seem to be darn good vehicles, esp if daily driving. Choose whichever makes you happy and enjoy it...can't go wrong with either, IMHO.
