You need to go very slowly taking off the clips. The biggest PITA is the two I circled in green these are the two clips closest to the front of the car. The other clips you can pry up with a panel tool. These require you to push the pin in from the back. The last two clips took me 20 minutes alone. Go very slowly so you don't break any clips. Once you remove the panel there are 4 T8 torque screws to remove. To remove the plug from the shifter you need to push the plastic clip in and then slide the grey retaining clip down while pulling out. When you plug in the new harness make sure it is seated all the way down. When I tried it the first time it didn't work and it turns out I had not fully seated the plug. Make sure you get a good set of panel tools. I included a link to a good set. So far it works like a charm. If you have any other questions about the installation feel free to PM me.
Make sure you get the one for the G20, there are two version for sale in this link.

Anyone more electronically inclined than myself able to tell us how this works? Like just a capacitor that creates and artificial button press? Even an educated guess?
