You can make 600 whp with a B58 too. Now add xDrive. G42 M240 were already clocking mid 3 second 0-60s. Just accept that you bought a RWD car.

That the M240i xDrive is faster than a RWD M2, and both can be tuned.

And??? I own a 23 M240 RWD as well (wife's car) so I know what it can do...but it does not do mid 3 second 0-60s. The G87 suspension is way different so car will handle the power better. The BMW X drive is not an allways engaged AWD so I am justbfine with a RWD car. |

While you're at it with the flash tuning might as well add the XHP trans tune. Dialing in the torque limits by gear could help. I also assume a custom tune would help smooth out the power delivery to avoid the low-end torque slam.

Yes but there have been some issues with those trying to tune the TCU. Once those issues are 💯 resolved, I will also have that done. |

Nice, i was hoping XHP would be an option at some point for the G87. Aside from adding the M Perf LSD to my car, XHP has been my favorite modification I've purchased.

Let me correct myself, it is "variable" in that it changes the distribution to front/back/side to side as it deems necessary based on the conditions. Great under certain circumstances but nit necessarily under all. |

Go read the reviews online. Google is your friend. A stock M240i xDrive will do 60 in 3.8 seconds easily.

My original comment was about the xDrive models. Feel free to re-read it once.

In all seriousness, I have built cars for drag racing and made 100s of passes down Gainesville Raceway. I know about 0-60 times and I also know what is on paper vs real life may not always play out the same. There are many variables involved in what a car's 0-60 time is. Its not a cut and dry thing for everyone, everywhere and under every circumstance. |

M240 Xdrive may edge a G87 w/ automatic in a 0-60 just because of the AWD but would likely get walked by a G87 in the 1/4 or more. G87 would win in a roll.

We've had this discussion before lads. From memory, when all cars are in stock, the M240i xDrive has done a 3.6 0-60 and the G87 a 3.67 - so on paper the 240i xDrive wins - now it comes down to the driver, wheels, track etc but they are essentially neck and neck. In the 1/4th and roll, the G87 wins because of the S58. Keep it simple.

In addition...other variables that would play a role include driver weight, tires, type of gas, amount of gas in the tank, climate conditions (all as a whole), altitude, type of launch and lets not firget actual driver. Also keep in mind, not every car will be 100% identical and for paper times, regardless of the car/manufacturer, the posted times are going to be the very best they can get (not necessarily what it will do by everyone on every attempt). |
