I forgot to mention this reminded me of a car shopping experience my wife and I had at a Lexus dealer. We were looking at used GX 460's and the sales guy sat us down and went on and on about their 160 point inspection for certified pre owned cars, and was so proud of how meticulous their team was. We took one out for a test drive and stopped somewhere to walk around and look at the thing (this one had a "160 point inspection" sticker inside the vehicle.) Noticed right away the left rear tail light was cracked and half the plastic was missing.
Got it back to lot and asked the sales guy if the 160 point inspection included tail lights.....he was so furious with his team and the wife and I had a good chuckle out of it. We ended up buying a different GX in a better color with intact tail lights. But a couple weeks into ownership we realized it had the wrong sized tires on it as the speedometer was off and it just looked silly. Turns out when they put new tires on it (as part of their CPO process) they put the tires intended for the small SUV on the thing. When we talked to the sales rep he said this happened to a few cars and they were calling people to come in and get the right tire set. Every time I hear about the 150+ multi point inspection I shake my head....
