What is this thread about? There’s a problem with strut towers? I see all the VIN posting debate but it’s not clear what the actual thread was supposed to be about.

Most of the info is in the G87 forum. In a nutshell, Cars from SLP plant have had a Stop Sale on this issue. There are many of use waiting for our cars, still.

"Left Front Strut Tower", we haven't been told yet by BMW. Parts are either ordered or already installed as I write this. Cars, don't know how many at the processing centers are either still being worked on or have been completed like mine.
My dealer has 6 cars on order, two of which are x drive types. I put their VIN's thru the "Tool" and half of them have this issue. Others are still sitting at final assembly at SLP which is when the body is married to the drive train and suspension. So cars have now moved past final assembly. |

There were no details other than some cars being flag/Stop Sale’d for “Strut Tower Front Left” out of Mexico plant, ever since they were offloaded at Port Hueneme on June 16th.
Thats until four hours ago, the S.I.B. detailing the issue and the fix, was posted by “Tag” in G87 forum. Although it’s for G20, but G42/87 having the same defect/repair code. https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/at...1&d=1689829681 Quote:
