Definitely takes some getting used to at first. I haven't had a car with a loud exhaust in a few years, so initially it was kind overwhelming hearing it just driving on the highway, but by the end of the day I was used to it.

All the parts were incredibly high quality. Everything went together without issue. The only thing that's weird is the way the valves work. When I'm driving it and I press the button, the exhaust doesn't get any quieter (at least on the inside), however the pops and cracks stop completely. But when the car is just sitting in my garage running, pressing the button does nothing. The valves don't open.

Thanks again to @alan@activeautowerke for getting me squared away.

My only question is on the tips. It seemed like the tech struggled to figure out their orientation. Does this look right?
Was this the high flow dp, EL mid and valved axle back combo?

They're sticking out way too far. Tomorrow I'm going to push them way in.

That's what I did with my girlfriend. She as pressing the button while I had my head in the exhaust. The valves didn't budge. The car was in all comfort mode though, so who knows.

Not just reduced, they're eliminated completely.

The valve has somewhat of a mind of its own in general. I think this is why Dahler made the exhaust valve controller. I think I remember reading somewhere there were all these parameters like % throttle, RPM, etc. I also read that they never fully open anyway.

I did a rally to PA today and drove the car over 300 miles. The valves are definitely doing something because it's night and day between M1 valves open and comfort valves closed. Even in 3rd gear rolling into it from 3-4k rpm and lifting makes absolutely no cracks. That's the loudest condition for cracks and pops I've found so far.

Yes, I am a child and have been having a complete ball with this thing. Might have pissed off a few Karen's and I definitely made a few little kids very happy haha.

Glad you liked the set up, I tried reviewing it the most accurate way I could. Here are what my tips look like from above.

Nice video! Loved the candid comments and your overall excitement! Waiting on a BSM car as well! Had an active midpipe on my prior M2C as well. Excellent quality parts!

Glad you liked it! Might sound crazy, but I'm trying to build a YouTube business. If you liked this one, check out either of the bear mountain cruise videos. Tons of fun!

Im incredibly happy with this setup. At first I thought it was too loud and wanted to go back to the stock DPs, but after a week I'm totally used to it. Going to keep it this way forever.

Yeah, learned this a few days after posting this. If I want the car to get extra loud, I have to press the M1 button. The exhaust button does not work as one would expect it to.

Midpipe + downpipes is noticeably louder than stock

Just wanted to throw this in this thread for continuity.

Jay was filming the rally to MPACT and for the first 12 minutes or so he's behind me in my M2 with the full Active system. You can really get a feel for what it sounds like (it's "nuts"!).

I made a video as well and if you guys think I should post that so you can hear it in the car, let me know!

This post should link back to the AA post that has sounds clips of just the EL mid if wanting to hear.

Man that's aggressive! I'd just do an EL midpipe with a valve controller & call it a day.
