Not just reduced, they're eliminated completely. The valve has somewhat of a mind of its own in general. I think this is why Dahler made the exhaust valve controller. I think I remember reading somewhere there were all these parameters like % throttle, RPM, etc. I also read that they never fully open anyway. I did a rally to PA today and drove the car over 300 miles. The valves are definitely doing something because it's night and day between M1 valves open and comfort valves closed. Even in 3rd gear rolling into it from 3-4k rpm and lifting makes absolutely no cracks. That's the loudest condition for cracks and pops I've found so far. Yes, I am a child and have been having a complete ball with this thing. Might have pissed off a few Karen's and I definitely made a few little kids very happy haha. |

I make stupid YouTube videos and I just uploaded my video about this exhaust (and my new 827Ms) if anyone wants a little more sound.

Im incredibly happy with this setup. At first I thought it was too loud and wanted to go back to the stock DPs, but after a week I'm totally used to it. Going to keep it this way forever. |

Yeah, learned this a few days after posting this. If I want the car to get extra loud, I have to press the M1 button. The exhaust button does not work as one would expect it to.

Just wanted to throw this in this thread for continuity.
Jay was filming the rally to MPACT and for the first 12 minutes or so he's behind me in my M2 with the full Active system. You can really get a feel for what it sounds like (it's "nuts"!). I made a video as well and if you guys think I should post that so you can hear it in the car, let me know! |
