I got a call yesterday for a remote job, from an agency I had contacted ages ago, they thought they'd try there luck with me, as it was I'm in the market, looks promising,
1 year contract, $6/hour more than I was getting. I think trying to increase your radar profile helps But again, someone said the job market here in canuk land is on the uprise I also find, people are more interested in contracts where you can start immediately as opposed to in a few weeks Agent contacted me yesterday, had a teams with agency and another person managing the account via teams this AM, and they have been chasing me for updates for my Resume they suggested. |

Jobs and agencies I find are like Buses, when you want one you can never fine one, when one does come you get 3 at the same time
My OH advised, anytime an agency reaches out, you have to hustle, if you leave to long on debating, they move on |

I did my research, and I get it, with the amount of traffic and candidates they can't get back to everyone.
That's why I try and have a relationship with a couple of recruiters, but its' been really obvious, you ring back and get voicemail, you email and dead air. Whereas previously there chasing you 5 times a day. It sucks balls, rejection is one thing, I mean, anyone remember the old "dear john letters" people would respond back to your letter saying "sorry you are not sucesfull this time" I mean shi& how hard is it to just drop an email, takes 2 seconds I guess also the main reason is they DONT want to take the time to give you feedback It's usually, you where not a right fit, you nearly got it, they wont say. Many many years ago, I was told (back home) to ask for feedback on why you where not successful, apparently larger companies had to have a reason, otherwise you could claim, sexism, racism etc NOW... pffft, you get nothing |

Even if they told you, they'd probably just give you a canned "we had candidates with more experience aligned with our needs" or something along those lines. Searching for a job now is like being on Tinder as a middle-aged man. Both are extremely frustrating and get you nowhere.
