Curious from the title, what is it a record for please, the compact class? What’s in that, is it faster than the pretty compact 719 GT4 or RS, os it that different class?

It's close. But I'm pretty sure the F80 CS was tested on the older config 20.6kmm vs the new 20.8km config, the F82 GTS ran a 7.27 on the 20.6km. The G87 ran a 7:33.9 on the 20.6km

The 20.6km Is still the standard measurement. Not sure why BMW keeps posting 20.8km times.

Why do you say that?

They are 10 seconds apart on ~7.5 min lap. Cup 2Rs vs PS4S is good for ~3 seconds on 2 mile track. At the ring that should be 10 secs+.



Edit: Some info that the M2 was on Cup 2. Not sure which (star connect or regular), so a bit tougher to match the CS time.

It was really cool to see that 5 gears (3-7) were used on the lap.

The gearing on that ZF8 seems to be spot on (1-7th), with 8th being there for super overdrive, low RPM highway cruising.

I have been driving in Mexico for the last few weeks and no, you don't want a Mexico delivery.
